The Cruel Prince Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

My heart leaps to my throat. “We'll have to—” Suddenly, there's commotion in the hall. The girls gasp, murmurs erupt, and some make happy squeals. Man in charge—fuck it, we'll call him little man, for now—momentarily forgets me and turns in the direction of the noise. My chest is still heaving from the exertion I put my poor heart to as Rhea squeezes my hand reassuringly. “Girl, that was close,” she whispers. “Your highness! You shouldn't be here! Gods!” It's the alarm in little man’s voice that has me spinning, laying my eyes on the rumored ‘Mad Prince.’

"You Princes have to stop kissing me. I'm going to explode if I take in any more power right now." Jayce chuckled softly, and reached around her to open the door to the carriage. He knew that if he didn't kiss her again soon, he might explode instead. "Are you ready, little Halfling? The Spring sithen will be overwhelming. This is just an outlying village, the full Court is something else entirely." She climbed into the carriage, "Then what are we waiting for, Prince, let's get this show on the road."

The councilmen, now acutely aware of the magnitude of their actions, could do naught but bow before the inexorable force that was Crown Prince Inas. As the councilmen slowly began to emerge, their faces etched with a mix of resignation and fear, the council room bore witness to a macabre tableau. The crown prince wasted no time, his actions swift and deliberate. One by one, their fates were sealed, their cries silenced by the grotesque brutality of the act. The room was painted in a grotesque tableau, a horrific testament to the crown prince's unyielding resolve.

He slowly walks in, and I follow behind, shutting the door behind us. He looks around the room and sees the same things I see; a bed, a table, a chair, a closet and various other things, but it's what he doesn't see that bothers him. “The prince isn't here” he says, turning to me, “when will her be back?” I don't reply. “When will—” My claws slice through his throat before he even finishes the sentence. He gasps, blood bubbling past his lips—surprised. He stumbles backwards, clenching his throat as the blood flows like a red fountain.

My body jolted so vehemently at the onslaught of powerful energy he emitted I couldn’t adequately appreciate his remarkable good looks. He was the epitome of handsome with his strong square chin, prominent cheekbones, and dark deep-set violet eyes that seemed to penetrate the surface of who you were and bore right into the depths of your being. Unfortunately, his good looks were overshadowed by an air of cruelty that surrounded him. I trembled with genuine fear for the first time since my arrival to that nightmarish kingdom.

the prince's voice became deeper and a bit ominous as his eyes began glowing a fiery red. “No my lord, I’m just…” She wasn’t able to finish her sentence as she winced from the sudden sting that she felt in her hand when the Black Knight’s claw dug deep in her palm. At first, she tried to endure the pain, not wanting to bend down to the man’s whim but in the end, she lost as a whimper immediately came out of her as blood started to trickle down her hand. Karilaya was unable to hide her tears and sobs as she felt the sting in her hand. That somehow awakened the prince from the sort of trance that he was in, quickly letting go of her hand.
