The Cruel Prince Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

he said firmly, extending a hand as if I were nothing more than a wounded soldier, not a prince caught in the ruin of his sins. I swallowed hard and rose to my feet, keeping my head lowered. My throat burned, my veins sang with the remnants of bloodlust, but shame kept me silent. Without another word, he guided me back toward the palace, taking the less-traveled paths so that no servants or early risers might glimpse their heir in disgrace.

It was like the prince in mom's stories that she likes to read to me when she puts me in bed. Those shiny blue eyes that seems to draw me in, tranquil like the ocean, and those navy blue hair that looked so soft to touch. I admired his beauty, but at the same time, I could feel the burning pain spreading in my head, and even though I think I saw my soulmate, my lips trembled. I started to cry, holding my head that was throbbing so badly from the apple that he threw on me. “Hey will you shut up! It doesn't even hurt that much,” The boy jumped down from the tree.

The Crown Prince frowns, reaching for his glass. As he does, the servant behind him – a tall man, too well-built for a server – draws a stiletto blade from his sleeve. I gasp, skittering back a little even as one of my hands reaches out for the prince. But there’s nothing I can do as the servant draws the blade raw across the Crown Prince’s throat. The Prince’s eyes go wide as blood spills down his front, his hand falling away from the cup, as he gasps and slumps forward.

"It's the alpha prince who wanted you to be here, our lady. He saw your condition and ordered us to treat you like a princess." I paused remembering that someone had smashed the door in my cage. Thinking that it was my father wanting to beat me again, I crawled into a fetal position and just retreated into my imaginary world and just let him do whatever he wanted with me. I didn't know it was the alpha prince all along. Really? Does it mean that our dear alpha prince is a kind man? He's not cruel just like his father? What does he look like? I heard from Sophia that he really looks young and handsome.

The Prince abruptly stands, his chair scraping along the hardwood floor. "I think I'll go.” "We haven’t even had dessert!” Crimson protests. "I think I lost my appetite." He walks for the exit, leaving everyone at the table stunned. I scramble up, chasing after him. I need him to know that I didn’t intend to hurt him. I’ve just been assuming he hates me, that he couldn’t care less if I loved someone else. "Vade!" I call out down the hallway. He stops, albeit reluctantly. "What is it, Avila?"

Lauretta said as she left her standing in front of the Third prince's study chamber. She let out a loud sigh before entering the study chamber only to see the Third prince focusly reading a book. She scoffed when she saw him, he has the mind to read a book after ruthlessly dumping her on the ground. He did not even care if she actually got injured when he dumped her, such a cruel prince! She cleared her throat when she realised he did not seem to notice her presence.

It was here last night when I was reading. "Which one?" He tusked at the thrown cushions and started picking them up. Pushing my fallen hair at the back, I moved to the LED panel and crunched down to check the drawers. "The Cruel Prince. I was on a plot twist. Jude had killed a royal fiery. She was so badass. She hid his body and she will be in a big trouble because you see she's the mortal among fairies and that's not good. Fairies are immortal—"

Maybe if I just- He tilts his head. Slow. Precise. Like he’s reading my thoughts. A cold ripple crawls down my spine. “It’s fine,” I mutter under my breath, adjusting the mask. “Just another spoiled freak show.” I take a step forward. Then another. The crunch of gravel beneath my shoes sounds deafening in the still air. Three steps away. Two. Then his hand shoots out. A gloved palm hits my chest- firm, controlled, commanding.
