Hattie's POV. There were four tales of the mad prince. One of them was, he wasn't human, but a demon. The second was, he married a wife before, but killed her in her sleep for defiling his orders. The third was he punishes his offenders in the most brutal ways and the last was, the mad prince was actually mad. I didn't know how true all these tales were, but I still didn't want to have anything to do with him. "Did you hear what I said?" he asked gruffly.

That’s when I realized that he was naked all along and the hardness that he kept on pressing on me is his thing itself. Nasty alpha prince! I yelled in my head. He has no manners and morals living up to the rumors that surrounded him. Fighting off the urge to run, I looked at his membrane and then back to his grinning face. I know I haven’t had engaged in anything sexual with Zuleik as my body kept on rejecting him but with the alpha prince, it felt like my body is on fire like it wanted to be wrecked by him. I drawled as I rolled my eyes at her. And she nodded. "Care to tell me about the curse?" I bet she would answer me with that smug look that had now sat pretty on her round face.

She came up to me with a fake smile on her face. "Hi, there. You must be the new girl. The one who's supposed to marry our Alpha." She said, sweetly. I nodded, warily. I didn't like her tone or her look. I didn't like her vibe. It reminded me of the mean girls back home. "I'm Princess Chloe. And you are?" I asked, politely not wanting to make enemies in a foreign land. She scoffed, "I'm Britney. I'm one of the pack members. I'm also one of James' special friends." She said, cunningly.

His eyes, a chilling blend of gold and green, held a strange intensity. "Succubi Poison." Prince Caspian hissed, his voice dripping with confidence. I laughed, a harsh, guttural sound.
