The Dragonborn Comes Novels & Stories

With a swift motion, I clenched a fistful of their armor and catapulted both soldiers into the onlooking crowd. A growl escaped me and I lunged at the commander, teeth bared and claws elongated. Claws? When did I get claws? The thud of a blunt weapon impacting my skull brought me crashing to the ground face first. A pair of muddy boots filled my blurring vision. The murmur of voices could be heard addressing the crowd.

My dragon growled, deep enough to shake the ground. A young dragon, thirteen hands high, stood outside my cave. He was just in his cloth, no weapons or shields in his possession. Not a single scar on his body; his dragon was not old in the slightest. Adam must have sent him because no other dragon would dare come here to deliver a message. Not to the monster.

Bones popping and elongating as his skin started to take on that luminescent glow that reminded me of an opal. Where once a man had stood, a great dragon now crouched in his place. It lifted its shoulders, its eyes slowly opening. Faint amethyst orbs peered at me. I pulled my shirt off, watching as he ran towards the edge of the cliff. Throwing his great body over the side before his wings started to beat, catching the wind, he soared down. I tossed my clothing onto the ground, my dragon was ready and my shift was quick. Soon, I was joining my mate. The moon peeked out to join us in our playful flight.

Best reassured me. Thinking of my kids, getting ready to meet them again for dinner, I was daydreaming of our future, our family, trying to stay positive. Emma was almost completely healed, and I had prepared the apartment for them in the same building as one of mine. It was our safest building, and for a good reason. Not only was it protected by impenetrable enchantments, but the basement also housed some of my most fierce and strongest dragons, my current personal elite dragon guard, highly trained and highly capable. Only Valor and Wong knew about the Dragon Knights, and now, I would need them more than ever!

Among the Six, he's the only one who doesn't seem uptight like the rest of them. For the rest of my stay in the hospital, I keep receiving visits from Landon and Dakota's family as well. I have gathered information about my mission. Apparently, I am to find the seals. Moreso, I can only do that if I stick to a particular person who bears the name, Dashiell Gryphon. According to Landon, he's a dragon Lord who wants to use the seals for evil purposes. To worsen it all, he's the jerk who had murdered me. I'm willing to do my best. ..

His pupils grew round and full, like a bird of prey watching a mouse. What was Spencer? What had I gotten myself into? I should have just stayed home and confronted Nolan and my sister. If I had it would suck, but I wouldn’t be about to be possibly murdered by someone who might not be human. A rumbling growl came from deep in Spencer’s chest and he leaned back slightly on his barstool. Watching me with those eerie looking eyes. “I’m a dragon.” The words were raspy and didn’t sound human. It was almost a growl, but not quiet, something animalistic. A warning.

What they don't say is what happens after. What happens after is this. Just this. And it is more than enough. THE END SHADOWBORN: The Rise of the Dragon Wolf

Wynter said out loud. “He doesn’t know how to come out,” Wynter said. “Come forth child of mine,” Abeloth said. Wynter arched his back slightly as the little dragon separated from him and stumbled over his own legs and fell down on the grass. “You’re so silly,” Wynter said. “He’s beautiful Abeloth,” I said. “This is Echo,” Abeloth said and the dragon stood up straight with his head in the air. He was the same height Wynter was and he looked almost black.

Adonis said as he squeezed Atticus' shoulder and the king's face lit up. It wasn't long before Cyrus, Tristan, Brian, and River arrived and everyone was sitting around the table ready to eat. Adonis stood up and held a glass of wine out for a toast. Everyone quickly grabbed their glass and held them out, “Here's to the first dragon born in almost 500 years. Little Mahan is the beginning of the future of dragons. May he grow up healthy and strong! May he know joy and peace! To our prince, Mahan!” Adonis said before everyone clinked their glasses together and took a drink in their prince’s honor.
