Nikokai's POV I kissed her over again, worshipping her like the divinity she is, my goddess. I'm glad that she came here and we talked. I hold her close to me and kiss her. As soon as I close my eyes to sleep, I have the worst dream. I'm in the middle of a battlefield, the ground is full of dead bodies of people I knew, my people. Rogues and slayers are attacking left and right, and a man whose face is burnt and wearing a black ensemble is standing tall on a cliff as he watches the chaos,

His touch resonated deep in my core, and I felt closer to him now than ever before. But like every good thing I wanted to keep, this dream ended too. My eyes snapped open, my breathing heavy. “Fuck,” I muttered as I lay still, the last moments of the dream playing in my head. Why did today’s dream feel even more real? Why did the feeling resemble the same one I felt when I kissed Knight? Was it because I went to bed with the thoughts of his last message on my mind? Was that why, even while I was awake like this, I still craved him? Was just one kiss from him enough to send me into such a frenzy?
