He looked at the Editor, his eyes burning with a dark, Northern cold. "My wife is a very thorough proofreader," Kaelen said, his voice returning with the force of a landslide. The Editor stood up, his face blurring even faster in his rage. "A footnote? You dare add a footnote to my Masterwork? I will shred the entire chapter!" He raised the giant pen like a harpoon, but before he could strike, the 'white space' around us began to fill with text. It wasn't the Editor's writing. It was small, messy, and golden.

Hi readers! My chapters in this novel are currently mixed match, I am contacting my editor now to delete the repeated chapters since it was a glitch when I copied and paste. Hopefully, it will be okay before this week ends, my editor is not really responding to my emails so I might just add the chapters that should have been added in the first place right after the repeated ones. Tasha wiggled her brows at her. “Yes, awesome news!” Irene couldn’t hold her excitement as she stamped her feet impatiently, “okay…” Elle smiled back at her friend, urging her to continue, “Capriana Publication is branching out,” She announced it with a wide smile, “The new branch will take up the ‘Romance’ genre,” She screamed with excitement, “And I’ll be the Editor in chief!” “That's great news! Congratulations!” Elle clapped her hands together thrilled by the news. “Finally, you achieved it! Congratulations!” Tasha jumped with joy.

I said, pulling her toward the front door. "Go where?" she asked. "There's nothing left!" I looked at the matchbook in my hand. I looked at the red pen. "We're going into the margin." I grabbed her and jumped out the door, not into the hallway, but into the white nothingness. As we fell, I didn't look down. I looked up and saw the Editor’s face peering through the hole in the world, her eyes wide with shock. We weren't falling toward a destination. We were falling toward the bottom of the page. And there, waiting in the white void, was a single, handwritten note tucked into the corner of the universe.

"You told me that every reader owns a piece of me. If that’s true, then the 'Publisher' isn't the one in charge.
