We took our seats once again, now everyone had assembled the room fell quiet before my father spoke. ‘It has come to light that the two accused have been conspiring against the throne, causing harm to Zelda, Zaikai Tressider’s sex slave and breeder, resulting in the loss of the future heir to the throne. The charge against is Zayden Tressider and Laelia Quattrucci is treason. We will hear the evidence put forth to determine if use of glamour is needed to ascertain the truth, Zelda please make your way to the stand.’ He gestured for her to come up, mixed expression from the high council as he spoke of the charges. Zelda looked up at me her violet eyes wide with fear, but I simply nodded a com

Tamsin knew it couldn’t be a coincidence that the fires wouldn’t light. It struck him suddenly, the answer. Cinder. The Witch Queen’s consort. He was master of flame and hearth, a nasty little bastard from the Winter Court, betrayer of his own kind, former consort of Queen Mab. Slick and charming, clever and without scruples, Cinder was the one who brought human tithes to the Dain. If he had River, she was in very real danger.

The questions came out as only a whisper to her. “It’s called revenge, little Cinderella.” She spat the old nickname in my face but it did not phase me. I had her pinned against a wall that was opposite the doors to Charlie’s room in no time, my face only inches away in an attempt to intimidate her, also to keep her here until the prince returns and he could see what Lucinda had done, “What vengeance could you possibly hold against an entire kingdom?” “The entire kingdom ruined my life. The villages ruined my childhood. The royal family, they ruined my future, and YOU ruined all that was in between!”

She looked around to make sure no one was around, and immediately shifted into her sinister face. "You! Miss Cinderella-wanna-be. You're so pathetic!" She said in a harsh voice. I stared at her without saying anything, waiting for this devilish woman to explain how pathetic my life was. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?! You've planned everything! I know all your dirty tricks. You want to create this kind of unexpected encounter to get closer to Lucas. You want him to change his mind and take you back! You're such a shameless bitch. Why don't you leave Lucas alone? You don't deserve him! You don't deserve to be invited to this high-end gathering! You're just a poor omega, a social climbe

It was more like an insult that is punishable by execution. They showed their ridicule at her seeing how powerless she is compared to their kingdom. Though it was true that the sovier kingdom is powerless and small compared to them. But it doesn't mean that they can't fight back. After all, it was Alisha the villainous who was ruling the kingdom. Not only is she capable of ruling she was able to tame the wild and powerful man like Macbeth. Who was known as the king of evil in the arena.

She went about dusting me off, and Gabby even stepped in to help. On the other side of the counter, Shaw snapped his fingers and pointed at me. “Dust!” he cried as if the word was a revelation in itself. Then he murmured, “Cinders,” before a huge smile spread across his face. He grinned smugly at Ezra. “Evil stepmother.” Transferring his attention back to me, he added, “Please tell me you have two ugly stepsisters.” “No.” I frowned, wondering why he would ask such a strange, random question. “I have two stepbrothers, but neither of them are ugly.”

They cursed her memory, cursed her line, and wiped her presence from the pack records as if she were a plague. I pause, looking down at my hands— hands that are whole, unburned, but trembling. "And because her blood ran in my veins, every single drop of that foul reputation was poured directly onto my shoulders." I was no longer the quiet girl who brewed chamomile for sleepless pups. Overnight, I became the villainess’s spawn. I was the child of the shameless woman who tried to steal Captain Rosante. Whenever I walked down the paths, the elders sneered, shielding their children as if my very presence were contagious.
