BOUND BY CONTRACT

BOUND BY CONTRACT

As one traverses the familiar pathways, an underlying sense of futility may arise, stemming from the recognition that despite the longing for things to remain unchanged, the forces of time and progress have continued their unrelenting journey forward, leaving behind a trail of irrevocable alterations. It is a poignant reminder that while the heart may yearn for the past, the present has inevitably forged its path, irrevocably altering the landscape and reshaping the dynamics of the familiar terrain. "My assistant manages personally as I know you were aware of what happened before." I sighed not wanting to remember that chaos but it's inevitable. It's a part of my life that will never conceal

The Mafia Boss's PA

The Mafia Boss's PA

Back to a time when love wasn’t tangled with hurt, when happiness wasn’t something I had to chase in memories. But wishes are fragile things. And as I stepped away, I knew the past wasn’t waiting for me to return—it was gone, and all I had left was the ache of remembering it.

Addicted to His Rejected Mate

Addicted to His Rejected Mate

She died the night he looked at our baby like a problem to erase. The images start blurring now. Colors leaching out, edges softening like old photos left in the rain. Sandcastles crumbling under waves. What was once carved into me becomes distant, somebody else's drama, irrelevant noise. I don't fight it. Don't claw at the fading scenes like some desperate romantic in a bad movie. I just stand there, letting them slip away. Good riddance. I don't need you anymore.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

"Stop," N-23 commanded, but her voice was breaking. "Stop showing us. We don't... we don't want to see this." "You don't want to see it because it hurts," Elara responded gently, maintaining an empathic connection. "Because remembering what you lost makes collective consciousness feel less like evolution and more like theft. But you need to see it. You need to remember who you were before Geneva networked with you." "We can't go back," another networked child sobbed. "We've been collective too long. Individual consciousness isn't accessible anymore. You're showing us something we can't have. That's cruel."

Betrayed By The Billionaire

Betrayed By The Billionaire

He took Chloe’s limp hand, pressing her thumb against the sensor. Click. The screen unlocked, but the sight that met his eyes felt like a physical blow to the heart. The wallpaper—which for years had been a candid, glowing photo of the two of them—was gone. In its place was an image of a red hourglass sitting lonely on a windswept beach, its fine sand being scattered by the ocean breeze. Beside the image was a single line of text: "The past is like smoke. Since it cannot be held, let it scatter with the wind."

HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back)

HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back)

Daven’s reputation preceded him—one of the youngest, most brilliant business minds in the country. “I never meant to hide the truth. To me, it’s a chapter long closed, something I never wanted to revisit. All I ever wanted was to live a peaceful, quiet life with Josh.” Althea lifted her gaze to the clear blue sky above them. “But I forgot one thing.” Her voice turned bitter. “The past... it’s a part of us, whether we like it or not. And sometimes, it comes back just to destroy everything we worked so hard to build.” Her lips curved into a sad, broken smile. “Just like what’s happening now.” She looked at Chase, held his eyes for a second, then turned her face back to the sky.

Hi author can we shift the tone a bit, I feel like it’s getting repetitive I don’t think it’s necessary to keep bringing up about David, Natalie and Eli relationship and how it’s weird every chapter. It feels like I’m reading the same thing over and over again just worded differently.

The story is really good but I’m still in chapter 410. So not sure how much will happen in the next 600(and counting) chapters. I hope it’s not prolonged too much unnecessarily. I felt a bit cringe with the plot holes like the change in the name of Chase’s dad, or Daven saying Josh was 5 🥲

FATED CHASE

FATED CHASE

He needed to explain why he treated me like a scumbag and tossed me out of his life for no just cause. Maybe things would work between us again if he opened up and admitted his error. I deserved an explanation from him. But at this point, Caleb was my bitter past and it is best if it remained so. His presence just opened up wounds that had healed. As Caleb was about to speak, Silas interrupted. “Sarah, please talk about what happened with Caleb. I will excuse you both.” “You don’t have to leave; the past remains in the past. I don’t want to have anything to do with him,” I said.

IT'S A JOB, NOT A RELATIONSHIP, MR. BILLIONAIRE

IT'S A JOB, NOT A RELATIONSHIP, MR. BILLIONAIRE

It was the same tune that played on the old music box in my childhood home. That night, I couldn't sleep. Nathan noticed. "You're tossing like a ship in a storm," he said groggily. I turned to face him. "Do you believe the past can chase us? Even when we outrun it?" He reached out, brushing hair from my cheek. "I think the past is like wind. Invisible but always present. It shapes us, but it doesn't define our direction." I wanted to believe that. But the chill in my bones wouldn't leave.

Abandoned At The Altar By My Mate

Abandoned At The Altar By My Mate

Flora's eyes noway left his face as she replied," Exactly. I am tired of being held by remembrances of treason and guilt. I've to know who I'm unshackled by the fetters of the history. I want a future in which I stand altitudinous, not as the shadow of something formerly once, but as the shining lamp of my own design." Adrian stepped forward formerly more, his tone low and prayer, “ Flora, please, do n’t let this be the end. Do n’t let our history define everything. I’m willing to fight for you, to change, indeed if it means facing the demons of my once head- on. ” Flora's eyes flamed with a storm of feelings." Adrian, you can not fix what is formerly broken with hopeless pledges. I've to ma

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

"I should have known. I should have seen. I should have been better. I should have been the man you deserved. I should have been the man I wanted to be. I should have been the man you needed me to be. I should have been the man you believed I could be." I walk to him. Take his hand. Turn him to face me. His eyes are wet. His jaw is tight. His hands are shaking. "You can't change the past. You can't undo what happened. You can't go back and fix it. You can't rewrite history. You can't erase the pain. You can't undo the damage." "I know. I know I can't. I know it's impossible. I know it's useless to try. I know it's foolish to hope."
