The Forgotten Heiress Kathleen Novels & Stories

Selena’s POV Mrs. Ashford moved forward a step, her hand trembling at her side, like she wanted to slap me and knew she couldn’t. “You think your little victory with the Harringtons gives you power over us?” Theo said then, stepping forward. “You’re still an ex-convict. You’re nothing but a placeholder until the real heir steps up.” I turned my gaze to him slowly. “And who would that be, Theo? You?” I let out a cold laugh. “You couldn’t land the deal. I did. And it was my name they stamped on that contract.”

Every question, a thread I could tug. And then I uncovered the truth about her wealth. Not her current situation—fragile, a mirage—but the origins, the legacy she came from. Billion-dollar holdings. Property in three continents. Investments no one outside her family could touch. Old-money names whispered in boardrooms like sacred chants. She wasn’t the vulnerable woman Damon believed her to be. She was a queen hidden in rags. I could almost see Damon’s confusion now: he had loved her for what he thought was innocence, for what he thought was a delicate need. What would he feel when he realized the delicate woman he adored had claws, teeth, and a kingdom of her own?

I could not bear to hear anymore of this dreary news standing up. “Zen held a ball,” he said. “What does that have to do with her?” I asked, frustrated, wishing that Caleb would spare me the details and go right to the point. “He took her to the ball as his date and introduced her as Princess Estelle.” That did it. I took the wine goblet on the table and chugged the content until I felt tipsy. “You must have seen wrong, Caleb,” I said, putting the goblet down, “there's simply no way that happened.”

“Bro, remember the Voice of the Night we saw yesterday? Guess whose car that was?” Hindi man lang siya nilingon ni Gabe. “Definitely not yours.” “Exactly! It’s Luna’s the Valencia heiress herself!”

Casey was everything I was not to them. They would be in for a shock when they learned who the real Casey was. The scientist played the next part of my memory without a prompt, and I was trying on clothes. I was overwhelmed by so many lovely and new garments. Excitement mingled with hesitation as I picked them out. I made my debut in a haute couture dress at the family banquet, celebrating my first public appearance as the Carters’ heiress. In my memory, Casey did my makeup and helped me into the dress. Her smile in the mirror was as harmless as ever, tricking me into believing she had changed.

the man replied, bowing slightly before retreating into the shadows, leaving me alone once more. I leaned back, the gears in my mind turning. My thoughts drifted to my brother, Kenneth. The empire he had built was vast, lucrative…a tempting prize for someone like me. And yet, his lack of a male heir had always made him vulnerable. “Tammie,” I muttered under my breath, the name tasting bitter. How convenient that his missing daughter had suddenly reappeared, just in time to be rushed into a marriage. I shook my head, a knowing smirk playing on my lips. I wasn’t a fool. Kenneth was using this marriage as a means to secure his empire.

*************** I was woken up by the chirping of birds and the relentless buzzing of my phone. The sun, which had set from the east, almost blinded my face, causing my vision to become blurred. Upon picking up my phone, I almost lost my balance when I saw the news headline. THE HEIRESS OF THE LANCASTER GROUP, NOW MRS. REID HAS BEEN CAUGHT IN BED WITH ANOTHER MAN JUST AFTER THE DEATH OF HER HUSBAND’S GRANDMOTHER. WHAT COULD BE HAPPENING? I quickly got out of bed and made my way towards the bathroom. Searching for Alex, but to no avail.

Then suddenly he felt a strange feeling of attachment to a strange woman. Stranger? It didn't seem like she was a servant, as he knew all the servants in the Dumitrese mansion. But, why was the woman wearing servant clothes? Gerard didn't want to waste time and make his curiosity grow even more. He quickly followed the woman who sat on a chair and resting her head on the table, as if she was exhausted. "Hi," Gerard greeted, walking closer. The woman, Merinda, immediately looked up. When she saw who had come, she immediately sat down.

When he brought her like a piece of rag from that lying bitch, she admits that she lost hope but she sees a future now and she can grab it. She is not a whore and will never be one. She is the heiress of GLV Winery and she will not let her story turn out this way. She will not be a piece of wood in the closet of this bastard. She will bid her time and escape. She will find that witch and teach her a life lesson she will never forget. She made Uncle Nicholas squandered all her fortune as if that was not enough, she sold her. Talking about having your cake and eating it too but she will make this earth bitter for her.

I have waited for five long years before I attacked. I left the continent entirely. I left everything back and started my life afresh. And I let them enjoy their peace for so long already. It’s time to take it back. “Leah,” Killian called from beside me, snapping my gaze towards him. “The senior madam said it’s time the world knew who you were. They have kept the heir hidden for too long,” he reminded. The children had left a while ago, as their driver came to take them to school.
