After what you did?” Her jaw clenched, but she kept her voice steady. “I said, open it.” “You got kicked out for spreading your legs for Thorne,” the first one sneered. “Matteo doesn’t want you.” “Maybe you didn’t hear me,” she said, stepping closer. “Open. My name was Declan Ziegler. I worked as a gatekeeper and security guard at a junior college. I ate, slept, and spent all my time on campus, with hardly a chance to go home and be intimate with my wife. It had been so long without any real release that the strain built up day after day. Late at night, when everything was quiet, it felt as if a restless heat would burn inside me, stirring up inappropriate thoughts that wouldn't settle. "That's Liam," They kept walking towards the supposed gate, towards the men. Anna grew a bit more nervous as the thought of conversing nauseated her.

It was obvious what she was about to do. "Wait!" Irsi screamed. "There is something you must know." Sophia scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You are only delaying the inevitable." "I sensed the great gate keeper in you, you have his mark!" Irsi stated. Sophia stopped moving. "You are talking about Grimkeeper." "Yes, his absence is dangerous to the world!" Irsi yelled. "The world is already a dangerous place," Sophia shrugged in reply. "The gate keeper is in charge of keeping the beings at bay! Without him there, more monsters will crawl their way in!"

I said, watching his worry become dread. “Grandpa she knows about this place, how to get here. You're not safe here anymore” I said, but to my surprise, the worry melted away and his frown was replaced by a smirk. “You don't have to worry about that, she can't cross the gateway” he said, with a small shrug. “What?” I asked, the word whispered in disbelief. “The gateway is guarded by one of the Goddesses of creation, she'll never be allowed in” he said, making my mouth fall open.
