Magnus: Dragon Prince

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Rex said shrugging his shoulders, "This had just confirmed my suspicions, one more question gran, how has a whole different world been kept hidden? Surely someone would have found it by now." "Not a new world dear, it is a plane of existence that connects to this one through a gateway held safe by a chosen one called 'The Gatekeeper.' He or she is charged with keeping our people in and others out that have no permission crossing the border, another delightful man you'll soon meet, I know his mother," Iris winked. Gatekeeper sounds terrifying and Iris speaks about him like they are family friends. "So why do I have to wait until I'm 18 to go home?" He asked, emphasizing the words GO HOME to g

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Very good world building, intriguing story, and decent characters. I'll be honest, I was just glad to find something on this app that wasn't smut. can't wait for more chapters, I've become very attached to the storyline and want to explore the world more.

I Am Not A Weak Human Mate

I Am Not A Weak Human Mate

Four said and tried to open the book but failed miserably. "Is this thing glued together or what ?" Four huffed Gabriel let out a light chuckle "How dumb can you be to think that the book holding the secrets of entire magical kingdom could be opened by anyone. and a guardian is like you is no exception " Gabriel sarcased Four rolled his eyes as he didn't paid attention to his sarcasm. But once the words sink in his eyes widened. "How the hell did you knew?" Four asked "What did he knew?" Petris asked "That book is nothing ordinary but everything excluding ordinary and no one could even touch it let alone stealing it from a damn castle which only leaves one possibility that you......are a gua

Alphas Human Mate mission

Alphas Human Mate mission

When his father turned towards the door, he frowned and shook his head. “That’s not possible Max” Jon said “There’s only one key and I have it. No one else can get in” “Dad, I’m telling you, the door was open!” Max said, his body walking up to the door “No Max, your father’s right” Carrie said with a frown “There’s only ever one key that gets passed to a new keeper. This is that door we told you about, the room that helps us with a book. As a fail-safe, the door automatically closes and locks itself. It’s enchanted to do that”

The Secret Whisperer

The Secret Whisperer

“Your little club doesn’t exactly have open auditions.” The Gatekeeper nodded. He moved closer, the knife gleaming in his hand. His voice was quiet, the kind of quiet that made you want to check if you were still breathing. “Who do you work for?” The woman tilted her head, her fox mask catching the light. “I can’t answer that.” The Gatekeeper didn’t press her. He wasn’t the questioning type. He set the knife on the block with a slight clink and turned back to Thronebearer. “Your orders?”

The gifts of the Moon Goddess

The gifts of the Moon Goddess

No, it wasn’t layered, it wasn’t fractured but singular and defined. And it was walking forward inside the beam as if stepping through a doorway meant only for it. Kade’s hand tightened weakly around mine and his voice barely audible. “That’s the Gatekeeper.” The beam flared brighter and the silhouette lifted its head looking directly at us from miles away.

CONSUMED IN THE TRIPLET ALPHAS' HEAT

CONSUMED IN THE TRIPLET ALPHAS' HEAT

Lira I stood in Kain’s study, watching them lay out the plan one more time. The message they were sending to Garrick contained false security details. Kain tapped the folded parchment on the desk. “East gates with triple guards. Ceremonial rotations every thirty minutes. Main entrance protocol for Kain’s arrival.” “Is this true?” I asked to be sure. “Of course not, darling,” Jax said with a chuckle. He was standing close to me and leaned in to kiss me.

FALLING FOR THE ALPHA'S SHADOW

"But he's no longer there. Absolutely gone." He looked into my eyes. "And the Gate?" I raised my head. The runes on its surface were silent and still, no longer pulsating. I said, "It's closed." "But it's not locked." Kairos grimaced. "What are you saying?" I covered my heart with a shaking hand. "Because I still have some of it inside of me. "

The Vision She Hid

The Vision She Hid

I said, softer than he deserved, “who are you showing this to? Me or yourself?” “Both,” he said. “One of us will regret it.” I looked down, because sometimes the only way to keep your heart from showing is to let your eyes do the hiding. The Insurance Book was an ugly miracle. Nothing in it could save a person. Everything in it could destroy a family. He tucked the false floor back in and shut the lid. The cedar breathed out a little past, grateful for the cover. The guard at the glass door knocked with the back of his knuckles, the sound careful, like he hadn’t forgiven himself for having bones. His face had that washed-out look all the devout have when their god starts answering other peop

The contract marriage: falling for a billionaire again

The contract marriage: falling for a billionaire again

Chapter 92 Michael's POV "Please don't kill me. I swear, I know nothing of what happened five years ago." The gatekeeper said fearfully, and one could detect that something about the way he acted was linked to the past. Had he been threatened by Ambrose? I needed to ask him what connections Mrs. Cooke had with the past. Everything was too difficult for me to understand. After many promises to send him and his crippled child abroad as a way to save him from Ambrose's threats, I could see the gatekeeper's walls breaking, his determination to hide the truth beginning to waver, as he began to weep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Oh, 'The Gatekeepers' is such an underrated gem! I stumbled upon it years ago while browsing a secondhand bookstore, and its dystopian vibe hooked me instantly. If you're looking to buy it online, you absolutely can—sites like Amazon, Book Depository, or even eBay often have copies, both new and used. I snagged my paperback from a small indie seller on AbeBooks for a steal. Pro tip: check multiple platforms because prices fluctuate wildly, especially for older titles like this one.

One thing I love about hunting for books online is stumbling on unexpected editions. 'The Gatekeepers' sometimes pops up with alternate covers or even signed copies if you dig deep. And if you’re into ebooks, don’t forget to peek at Kindle or Google Play Books—sometimes digital versions are cheaper and available instantly. Just typing this makes me want to reread it; that twist in the third act still lives in my head rent-free.
