Then, feeling the ache in my body, I pressed my back against the crumbling wall and continued to wait. Two silhouettes lined the floor. I peeked from the crack and saw that the first had broad shoulders and was dragging a massive sledgehammer. His mask was a grinning goat. The second one was smaller, but in his hand was a machete. He was wearing a Snow White mask, complete with a red plastic bow. I found the effect obscene. How dare he do Snow White dirty like that! They moved without speaking. They seemed sure I was here. Goat Mask stepped up onto the altar, the sledgehammer swinging gently at his side. “Come on, lady. We know you’re here.”

While I was trying to free myself from her, the old man got back up and slapped me hard. I was trapped. "Jade, I'm helping you. Don't be so ungrateful!" Sarah said. She then ordered the guards to pin me down. I was thrown to the ground. While I was shaking from the pain, my clothes were torn away, and that disgusting mouth kissed my neck. Suddenly, the meeting room door was kicked open. "Get out!" Terry strode in and kicked away the man on top of me. He wrapped his suit around me. I could still feel his warmth on the suit.

If I knew how to do a victory dance, I would’ve twirled across the lawn right in front of him. “Alright, deal. And if you still want to see the goats, you can follow me.” I opened the shed and flipped on the light. The smell of manure hit me like a punch in the face. Not wanting that stench to cling to my clothes, I stayed by the door. Adrian stepped past me and approached the goats. He gently stroked the adult goat’s head, smiling. Then he crouched in front of the baby and said, “You are way too adorable. Sophia would fall in love with you.”

It moved with an eerie fluidity that defied its massive size. Pelin gripped my arm, her breath shallow. “Tell me that’s not real,” she whispered. “It’s real,” I said, forcing myself to look. “And it’s not alone.” Capricorn, the sea goat, swam alongside it. Half-beast, half-fish, its spiraling horns cut through the water with terrifying grace. Its muscular upper body merged into a powerful, scaled tail, propelling it forward like a nightmare from the depths of the ocean.

I moved back and collided with the man standing at my back, which caused them to erupt into laughter. I look like a goat in the midst of lions that they are ready to devour. I wasn’t ready to die yet, and I know I have to save myself with my own hands. I kicked the man standing before me his groins, and his eyes widened. He held my hair and pulled me with him, and this time around I lost hope completely.

He didn’t have to tell me twice. The miniature goats—one pure white and the other white with brown spots—were the cutest little things, and I couldn’t help myself. “Come here, little guy—” The moment I stepped into the pen, cooing at the goats, I must have struck a nerve; because the white one, with a wild bray of dissatisfaction, charged me like he wasn’t a quarter of my size. And it hurt like hell, despite his small stature.

As she watched a animal appeared from behind one of the rocks and came to the broom to drink. At first glance it looked like a young goat with thick white hair on its body and horns on both sides of its head but on a closer look she realized that the hair was longer and there appeared to be what looked like wings at its sides. “What is that?” Goyre smiled in satisfaction at the wonder she heard in Phoenix’ voice. Even her eyes were wife in amazement as she took in the beauty of the sight before her. “That is a Gyat.” “Why does it look so much like a goat?”

' I said, wide-eyed, following him as he began to walk towards the nearest house. 'They seem to have a knack here for knowing I'm not what I appear to be.' He rubbed self-consciously at his neck, where a small silvery scar puckered the skin just under his jawline. 'And they also tend to be very skilled with knives.' Rounding the back of the building, a flurry of movement that kicked dust up into the air made me squeal as a herd of goats crowded the space between the houses, pushing their way through the narrow gap. One with twisted horns and long shaggy brown fur matted with seeds and grass nudged at the bread in my hand and grabbed it from me, almost taking my fingers with it, and I shrieke

He then laughed again and slowly his laughter disappeared until now no more Boston Hopkins voice was heard. Leon had not had time to say anything to Claire who had started crying. Suddenly in front of them came the sound of quick footsteps accompanied by a muffled growl. Leon can already guess what creatures are coming. Leon's guess was proven when the creature came into view. Its body is the body of a goat with four lion legs. There are two heads, one head of a lion and the other is the head of a goat. The tail is not a lion or a goat but a snake. The animal was several times Leon's size. It’s four red eyes stared at Claire and Leon.

My blades sink into the soft, crumbling stone, sending sharp vibrations down my tired arms. I grope for my footing while watching the goat, only twenty feet above me now, still munching on moss and oblivious to the threat directly below him. He’s large, a pure, soft white. He’s maybe a few years old judging by the horns that stretch in nearly straight lines from the top of his thick skull. I need him. I want him. I won’t leave without him, even if I have to chase him up the mountain. I send a quick prayer to the Goddess for Her blessing to take this life. I pray to the older, forgotten gods that She answers then make my move.
