Accidental Bibliophiles

Accidental Bibliophiles

She huffs at us, rolling her eyes before pinning us with a firm stare. "Women write these books. You want to learn how to sweep a woman off her feet? There's your manual." She says, motioning towards the book in my lap. I look at the novel with a newfound respect before looking around the room. "Seriously?" I ask and the women all nod. "Oh yeah. I'd love for my husband to read some of these books. Maybe we could spice things up a little." A woman says and many others nod their heads in agreement. "Oh hell yes. Maybe get him to growl and call you a good girl." Another says with a giggle. My eyebrows shoot up in surprise and the younger girl looks at us with amusement.

How I Met My Wife.

I am a person who has met the small woman and the tall man in a kitchen of an apartment of a man the woman is going to marry on a Sunday afternoon, in the way that women meet the small women and the tall men in kitchens of apartments of men the women are going to marry on Sunday afternoons when the women are the kind of women who are going to marry the men the women meet the small women and the tall men of in the kitchens of the apartments of the men the women are going to marry. I am a person who is going to be a wife. I am a person who has a small bag from Boston. 100 Days With My Nemesis

100 Days With My Nemesis

The one that says 'I'm just a harmless little wife. I lean back, the contract still open in my hands. "Article 30," I say slowly. "Clever." Her smile doesn't fade. "I thought so." I tap the page with one finger. "Full access to all business documents. That's quite broad." "Is it?" she asks, tilting her head. "I just want to understand what my husband does all day. Isn't that what good wives do?" I study her. She's good. Too good. On the surface, it looks like a small, reasonable request. But I know Nora. She doesn't do small.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

She might be soft in certain matters but stood firm when someone picked on her husband. “Mr. Thompson, my husband gifted me this shop. We don’t need your money! He’s hardworking and takes care of the family now, giving me what he earns. From what I see, he’s the best husband in the world! “So please watch your words next time. Stop judging others with your old standard!” Nicholas blinked and carefully examined the girl in front of him. He hummed a while later, saying, “Pretty, it’s not that my standard’s old. It’s that your husband’s really awful!

Mint Mocha
I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

MY BILLIONAIRE HUSBAND IS A MURDERER

MY BILLIONAIRE HUSBAND IS A MURDERER

The words were coming out slowly from Marias fingers on the keyboard. I think what people really mean by this question is why do people need a wife. Getting married has to do with having someone you can talk to in good and bad situation in life. A wife can be a friend and companion. People need a wife because they want someone to care for them and be there, for them when they need it. A wife can make a person feel happy and loved. The person sent a response away. The response came quickly. Business. The woman was so unhappy with the response she got. She was not satisfied, with what she had written so she typed again. The woman was trying to get her words right and typed again.

The Wife He Took For Granted

The Wife He Took For Granted

She was small, energetic, and carried herself with the unmistakable confidence of someone who had earned the right to ignore her age. “There you are.” She embraced Elena warmly before stepping back. “I was beginning to think those important meetings had stolen you.” “They tried.” Elena laughed. “But I escaped.” Only then did the older woman notice Adrian. Her eyes narrowed with theatrical suspicion. “And who is this handsome stranger?” Elena looked momentarily uncertain. “This is my husband…” She paused almost imperceptibly before finishing. “…Adrian.” The hesitation lasted less than a second. It still reached him. Mrs. Alvarez welcomed them inside without another question.

The Good Wife

The Good Wife

"What my wife doesn't know, won't hurt her." I glared at him but he didn't look appalled, disbelief settling over me that a man like him could even exist. "What kind of person are you? You have no respect for anyone or any idea of when you're overstepping your boundaries. People might think you're a high-class man but you're nothing more than a pig!" He stared at me blankly before going over to the balcony and leaning against a rail. "You're one to be talking about respect, a woman with no dignity or class who is only here because she caught the eye of the boss's son and got married for money. You know, where I come from, the word they have for a girl like you is a -"

The Wife He Never Knew

The Wife He Never Knew

Let her walk out feeling like she won something. Now that same sentence sat differently. Not like the final word of a woman who had lost. Like the quiet warning of a woman who already knew what was coming. And had chosen to tell me anyway. Something wasn't adding up. The woman I had been married to had been careful. Reserved. Always slightly apart from the world around her, like she was watching it from a distance she had chosen for herself. I had mistaken that distance for smallness. For a life that did not extend far beyond what I could see.

Who Is the True Wife?

Who Is the True Wife?

"Who are you calling the other woman? Anna is my wife. She was the one I married." Wilson moved to stand by me, his hand finding my shoulder. "Rowena, enough with the drama, okay?" It was a relief to hear him defend me, but the way he scolded Rowena, trying to hold back his anger, it still felt like he was taking sides. Suddenly, he seemed like a stranger to me. Maybe the love we had was just a mirage, nothing more than the sweet phase every couple goes through at the start. "What did you just say?" Rowena was even more shocked by Wilson's declaration than by the slap. Her eyes were huge as she pointed at me, her voice shaking. "You say she's your wife? Then what am I? We're married!"
