While they all appeared humanoid, none were entirely human. One had what looked like giant antlers protruding from its skull. Another seemed to have the body of a snake but a human torso and arms. Yet another had a figure similar to that of a centaur. Amerie strained to see more detail but the fog was too thick. The players eyes widened in terror, as the three figures emerged from the shadows. Medusa stood tall, her hair writhing like snakes, each strand tipped with venomous fangs. Her eyes glowed like embers, piercing through the darkness. A stone-like mask covered her face, except for her full, crimson lips, curved into a wicked smile. The Reaper loomed beside her, his presence like a shadow cast over the land. His eyes were empty sockets, his skin gray and decaying. A black hood covered his face, and his tattered cloak billowed behind him. His blood streaked soulcutter was held firmly to his chest as though passing a silent warning.

I felt a wave of nausea reach the pit of my stomach before making its return journey to my mouth, instantly recognising what I saw. Shock threw me into a spin. I scrambled haphazardly for my towel, clinging it around my exposed body, suddenly feeling self conscious and vulnerable. The girl turned her face away, closed her eyes and timidly rested the back of her hand on her right ear to protect herself from the colossus' big postilions and his cries. The giant moved away and walked towards the cauldron, and began to rekindle the fire by gripping a trunk suspended above him to keep his balance as he leaned with all his weight on a bellows, pressing his right foot on it.

“And I graced your return with a splendid weather.” She stretched her hands out and I watched the snow pelt softly on them. That's when it clicked, the puzzle came together. Morgana belonged to a pack of snow wolves, that explained the weather. “You never thought you'd run into me did you?.” She was right, I never included running into enemies in my plans. His heartbeat was racing faster than before. He felt like something ominous. He couldn’t get rid of this feeling.
