Triple Temptation

Triple Temptation

POV: Morga (The Raven Queen) "Then let us make the choice for you, child of the moon." The voice was cold, ancient, and carried the scent of hemlock and dried rose petals. From the shadows of the western roots, a group of figures emerged, draped in heavy, feathered cloaks of raven-black. At their head was Morga, her face a mask of iron-hard resolve, her eyes glowing with the sickly green light of the Forbidden Arts. Behind her, the surviving witches of the High Circle moved in a synchronized, haunting rhythm, their hands already weaving a web of silver-and-black energy.

The Cast-out Half-werewolf Princess

The Cast-out Half-werewolf Princess

"What's the Amphisbaena?" Theresa who had risen from her chair and had watched the couple in concerned silence, finally asked, unable to contain her curiosity any longer. "I've never heard of it before." "According to history, the Amphisbaena was spawned from the blood of the Gorgon, Medusa. It's a serpent which has two venomous heads at the head and the rear, and one can hardly tell the main head from the rear head." Herrick met Darius outside the house and announced. "The two-headed serpents are approaching the village; we have to stop them now."

Scald Crow

Herne focused his attention back on the screen, "Who is leading them?" "Your old friend Matthias Ponts, or at least I thought so at first. Brace yourselves," She pulled up an image of what appeared to be a Female Frankenstein monster. Unlike the Hollywood version of the aberration, the female golem was shapely. Long angry scars along the neck and shoulders. Tiny bolts jutted out from the throat area but did not look out of place. The pale skin and mixed and matched eyes haunted warren. Archon flashed a picture of the wolf gigas he fought. "Archon thinks it's another gigas. I agree with him."

Lahnthean Aria

Lahnthean Aria

What if the scent was coming from the ghost's open mouth and she was on the verge of being devoured whole? The panic allowed her to quickly turn around and stare wide-eyed at the giant smoke-like phantom hovering deviously behind her. The entity had multiple heads screaming in agony; each one dangling from long necks that stretched in different directions to block the hallway. Its body floated in the air like a grey fog. It had no arms and legs. And on its boney rib cage was a gaping hole - a mouth where three long, slimy tongues danced hungrily as if it was tasting the air. The heads had empty sockets for eyes and holes for noses. It stretched its mouth wide-open, dislocating its jaws like

CEREBUS

CEREBUS

But now… Now it was all coming true. The news footage of the three-headed beast dragged from the mall. The tremors reported near Crete. The whispers buried in museum archives about ancient seals breaking. She circled three names on her map in heavy, deliberate strokes of ink: Cerberus. Chimera. Bellerophon. Only the first had returned. The second would rise. But the third — the slayer — was missing. Her jaw tightened. “Unless…” she whispered. Her laptop pinged. A motion alert from the museum’s security feed.

Wolf Queen

Wolf Queen

Just as it had begun the light within her hands diminished and her screams ended. She slumped against the table in exhaustion as her will was returned to her, the Goddess retreating for the time being. Her hair stuck to her brow as she stood on shaking legs before she pushed it away. The now silver strands sliding through her fingers like butter as she faced the packs. Leonidas stood beside her as she looked upon them, they gasped and gaped at her in awe as she did so. Many had been born during or after the packs wars or had been to young and had not seen or remembered such a ritual and the tolls it took on the physical body.

Where the Pack Ends

Where the Pack Ends

I hesitate for a beat, then lean across the gap, reaching my hand out to brush the debris away from his collar. Before my fingers can retract, the golden eyes of the King snap open. His massive, clawed hand shoots forward like lightning, wrapping around my wrist with iron strength. With a sudden, fluid jerk, he pulls my frame forward, causing me to lose my footing entirely and tumble directly onto his rock-hard chest. "Master Leonidas! Let go of my wolf!" "Are your jaws attempting to seduce my beast again, Gorgo?" His voice is a deep, primal growl, thick with the heavy scent of the council wine he consumed tonight.

The supreme alpha's bane

The supreme alpha's bane

She could take a wild guess at what creature that lady was but she was not ready to make a move based on assumptions. “What are you? Who are you?” “My name is of an ancient and forgotten language, one that I fear you may not remember but you can call me Helen and I am a Gorgon!” “Well then Helen, it's nice to meet you but I must ask that you let me go at once. I believe that this is all a misunderstanding so why don't you release me and I'll pretend that all this never happened?” She began to wish that she had a cord but there was nothing she could do with her hands that were not made of stone.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Except for the low whine of the Anomaly, everything and everyone has fallen silent. The wait seems interminable, but in reality is probably no more than ten or fifteen seconds. A tall form explodes out of the blackness, almost as if shoved forward by the forces inside the portal. The thing halts for a split second. It’s human in shape, at least eight feet tall, and unmistakably female. Her slender, full-breasted body is covered in dark green scales. What catches my attention most, though, are the dozens of slimy green snakes writhing from her head, hissing loudly as their tongues flick in and out of gaping mouths. I recognize this dangerous creature from mythology books—it’s a medusa.

This author has some of the best books I've read on this app, unfortunately she's unrated. If you are seeing this comment, then take it from me, this book is highly recommended. It's different in a good way.

I don't normally comment on books but this is different, I just have to share my thoughts because this is one of the best books I've read on this app. The Author did an excellent job because the storyline and how everything played out was just so perfect I had to give my comment. Kudos!
