Part of me thought maybe Time was taking me back into a moment in time that is surrounded in fire where I would suffer and burn while he stood there and laughed at me. Maybe I need to stop reading so many books. “Where are we?” I ask, as the softest breeze kisses my face. I twist, looking around for any sense of familiarity. Wherever we are, it not longer exists in this state a million years from now. We stand in a field, or perhaps in a large expanse of many fields. Everywhere I look is long grass up to our waists, the colour of pure emerald green. Within the blades, tall wildflowers grow, peeking up above the line of grass showing of vivid colours.

Scarlett chimed in enthusiastically, equally excited about the idea. As Xavier continued driving, the scenery outside the car window gradually changed. The bustling cityscape gave way to the serene beauty of the forest. Karina leaned back in her seat, taking in the soothing sight of trees, their leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. "Nature really has its own way of calming the soul," Karina mused aloud. Scarlett, who was sitting beside her, nodded in agreement. "Absolutely, Mrs. Karina. There's something magical about being surrounded by all this greenery. It's like a different world altogether."

I was getting frustrated by walking through the endless trail of hell. "Here." She smiled. I managed to look up after patting off the dried leaves from my hair. "This is..it? Is this what we came here for?" My shoulders dropped. All I could see was a plain filled with grasses which looked unattractive in the dark. There was nothing to be so excited about. "It's not over yet!" She inched closer to the field of grass. As soon as the grasses stirred on noticing her presence, little beaming lights flew up into the sky and illuminated the vibrant green grasses.

Do I go to the right or to the left? One path was filled with tall green trees and flowers growing on the side. The road was smooth and leading upwards, to the lush green hills on the horizon. Meanwhile, the other path had all sorts of wild plants growing erratically on it, some of them were thorny and prickly. The road was beaten up and it was leading downwards, to some place I couldn't even see where. Toto, I have a feeling we're not in New York City anymore... How did I end up here again? And how was I supposed to get home?

According to Adrian, it was just a matter of minutes before we arrive and it was getting dark, so that was a relief. The shorter the better, but not in the lives of people,” I said, glancing at Adalee. “Huh?” “Life is short, but became shorter because some people wants to end it much sooner. Lucky are those grasses when mowed, but will still grow back. Unlike people’s lives, when cut and ended, no matter how long you’ll wait, you can never take it back,” I whispered, then smiled bitterly.

And the color is like a turquoise mineral." I was feeling more at peace as we walked along. I turned and stretched my hands up. "Look, it's a griffin nest," I whispered. "And around the family are the flowers I mentioned. They're magnificent!"

With a final glance at each other, the trio stepped into the portal, ready to face whatever awaited them on the other side. Emerging from the other side, the blinding brilliance slowly dimmed, revealing a vast expanse of a serene meadow, the grass swaying gently with the breeze and the sky painted with hues of the setting sun. Liora squinted against the light, taking in the beauty of the surroundings. "It's... it's beautiful," she breathed.
