That Which We Consume

That Which We Consume

My dad was sitting on the recliner section of the couch, but he wasn’t using the foot rest. A young man sat silently on the couch one space away from my dad. There was something strangely familiar about him, his facial features I think. His hair was sandy brown with traces of blond, cut short and spiked. It didn’t look stiff with product like the rock stars make theirs; it looked like it had flexibility to it. He was also a shade lighter than me and my parents, with strong cobalt blue eyes and a strong jawline. His outfit was casual, a solid brown t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown Timberland boots. As I studied him, I noticed that he was seriously studying Lio; his eyes were stone cold. I looke

Forbidden Claim: A Mafia King’s Obsession.

Forbidden Claim: A Mafia King’s Obsession.

He stays that way for a long time, and when the cigar is almost burnt out, he drops it in the ashtray before gulping down the glass of water that was sitting on the table beside the couch. Then, he gets up from the couch, his towering frame entirely dominating the suite, walks into his closet and comes out wearing a brown t-shirt that makes his muscles and broad shoulders much more pronounced, and matches the color of his jogger pants. “Get up, Nadia,” he growls, his expression suddenly shifting to his usual cold and detached demeanor. “There’s a show I’d like you to watch with me.” A show? “Wh… what show?” I ask in a silent whisper, my voice cracking as I try to keep it steady.

Miss Perfect and Her New Boss

Miss Perfect and Her New Boss

I sat on the couch, trying to figure out how to turn on the television as I wrapped myself in a blanket. "We'll have two steaks with mashed potatoes, egg drop soup, chocolate mousse, and a bottle of cola. Thank you." He said before ending the call to the front desk and joining me on the couch. Without two heads working together we managed to turn on the television, it was on a news channel, but I couldn't really understand what they were saying so I was about to change the channel when a familiar face appeared on the screen. "Love, look. Isn't that the guy from the lobby earlier?" I asked Gavin and he took a closer look at the guy on the screen talking to the reporter.

Dark Desires: The Professor's Obsession

Dark Desires: The Professor's Obsession

Leo with his shirt off and tattoo guy's hands all over him, they were on the couch, tangled up like a scene from a movie I didn’t sign up for. My breath hitched, “oh hell nah.”

Fajra Meets the Alpha

Fajra Meets the Alpha

My eyes traveled to the man that was seated on the single couch, and behind him was the view of the city. He’s half naked. A white towel was covering his lower body. His legs are spread apart while both of his arms are resting on his side. He’s looking like a ruthless man, very different from the man I know. With gritted teeth, I stood there watching him. I couldn’t see his face since his room was dark and the lights from behind him were not helping either. I noticed him cocking his head to the side, resting his elbows on his side, and clasping his hands in front of his mouth.

Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

I echoed out and watched as he gave a nod of his head. “Yeah, I did. I do. I want to know some things about you, things I don’t know about and things which I am sure are going to be a lot.” He started to speak and I watched as he leaned backwards on his chair so it looked like he was completely relaxed on the couch which he was currently sitting on. To think I thought they barely sit on the couches here, do go how they always acts – but then here is Ryan, looking relaxed in the couch here, like he had all the time in the world.

Ok after reading the reviews I’m not even going to try and read the book. When I saw how many chapters there were and it said ongoing I read what people thought. Nope not wasting my time and money on this book. Bye ...

it's been 1yr. of reading this book. I am on chapter 443. James and Blair are getting more interesting, they're more mature than Luca and Sophia's relationships Don't like where Sophia's character is going. But still love the book. How many characters left??

Knotting the Hunter

Knotting the Hunter

I spent two years stealing his hoodies because the man is like a polar bear. The second wrong thing is the guy on the couch. Big. Shirtless. Golden blond hair loose to his shoulders, still damp from what must have been a recent shower. Eyes that catch and reflect the lamp light in a way that’s wrong for a living room and right for the woods. There's a mug steaming on the armrest next to him, and some petty part of my brain goes: I bought that mug. How dare he be drinking from a mug I bought Noah.

This book is so good! The 3 books I’ve read so far from this author are on my top 5 favorite on this app and this one is about to be #4! Love the writing style and love the humor in the story. I’m rooting for Dax and Noah!

Really enjoying this book so far, this is definitely one of my favorites male male books I've read on here. Quinn is really good at those it seems. Especially the relationships, but the side characters and conflict are super compelling too. Excited to read more.

I Slapped the Plot Twist

I Slapped the Plot Twist

"Got it. I've done this long enough. I know the rules." I took the tray, breathed in, and pushed the door open. Smoke and laughter hit me all at once. The room was packed, but everyone's attention was locked on the couple in the center. The guy lounged on the couch, sleeves pushed up to his forearms. Sharp features. Cold eyes. The kind of guy who kept people at a distance without even trying. A gorgeous woman sat beside him, leaning in to whisper something. He tilted his head to listen. The cold edge in his expression eased. Every now and then, he'd reach up and casually pat her head.

L'ANGELO DELL TERRORE

L'ANGELO DELL TERRORE

I closed the door behind me, looking around the room. It was grey in colour and the couch? Only God knows how one could go to the market and get black couches? "Do you plan on becoming a furniture? Standing in the middle or the room?" I looked up to see Mr L'Angelo with a mug of something I predicted to be coffee. Does Men like him even take coffee? I mean..how could they still drink something as soothing as that after staining their hands with blood. Many colors of it. "And stop staring at me like that?" He gave me a boring look and pointed to the couch.

Forbidden Affairs

Forbidden Affairs

He led me downstairs. The basement was half game room, half man cave. A giant L-shaped couch. A flatscreen mounted to the wall. Weights scattered near a workout mat. Three other guys were already there. Ty, Cam, and Jordan. Ty was the biggest. Broad shoulders, thick arms, brown curls pushed back by a headband. He looked like he could bench-press me without breaking a sweat. Cam sat with one ankle propped over his knee, tattoos up both arms, and a silver ring between his lips he kept rolling with his tongue.
