On the high-speed train home, the scenery outside passed by in fragments, but I could not focus on any of it. Shanine slept soundly on my shoulder. She had drunk too much the night before and had been rushed onto the train early this morning, leaving her half-dazed. Her hair brushed my neck, carrying the familiar scent of her shampoo. Yet, my heart felt strangely quiet. Almost empty. That happiness had arrived too fiercely, and it had disappeared just as quickly. Phoebe sat across from us, wearing headphones and scrolling through her phone. Occasionally, she looked up, our eyes meeting briefly before she quickly looked away again, as if nothing had ever happened.

Joy smiled, as she finished her brief summary of the book. "Wow. I am speechless. What later happened? Did he give in or disciplined himself?" Kevin and Rachael simply looked on as the two were speaking. "It is left for you to find out. The title of the book is WEIRD FEELING BY PROF ISRAEL. Do search it up on G****e, so as to know which app you can easily read it from. I am eagerly waiting for the part 2 of that book," Joy stated, as Andrew nodded.

“I asked Doctor Mark. He said we can come in whenever we want, but the result will be out in a week or thereabouts.” “Then we better get going. Call Rachel and have her come over. I think Amber would appreciate some company.” I instructed and left the office to change into something better. I always knew it. My life had never been this beautiful, and I’d never been this happy with a woman. I knew it would never last. Something must disrupt these beautiful moments for me. Maybe I’m not meant to be happy. So whenever happiness roars its beautiful head up in my life, bitterness and pain spring up immediately to overshadow it.
