Chapter 1 George tightened his hand on the straps of his backpack as he walked towards the canopy of trees. This was it, he told himself. A dream of years was finally achieved. Quasi-orgasmic excitement, like the kind he experienced a few hours ago with his girlfriend, sped up his spine, and warmth flooded his chest. He found himself whistling a tune. It was a medley of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” and Michael Bublé’s “It’s a Beautiful Day.” It was a happy tune and a testament to his feelings and the truth about his situation. He was indeed happy, and at that moment, it was the most beautiful day of his life.

Hence, she could only hurl vile insults until some kids dumped dirty water on her, making her shriek. I laughed, wondering if she had ever imagined herself being trampled like this. Each day with her had been torture for me, no matter how much I had begged or tried to avoid her. Looking at her now, I felt only pity and sadness. As she screamed for help, everyone ignored her. I shook my head and walked past her. "Caitlyn, are you satisfied now? I got what I deserved. Are you finally happy?" Gina shouted. How could I be satisfied? I say proudly. “Okay, let’s hear it.” He looks at me with his mischievous dimpled smile. “What’s better than Tuesday?” I asked, smirking at him. His brows knitted in the middle of his forehead and looked all confused. “Um, Milo Day?” He tried with his sneaky grin. I laughed under my throat, “Close but that’s not the answer.” “Okay, I give up.” Milo says. I moved closer to his lips, “Tues-me.”

But before things could go further, their desire was already leaving for his office, not bothering to even look at them. Man Hae, like every time, was already so done with their “eyestalk”, and headed back to her table, not forgetting to greet back every one passing by, with a warm “seeming” smile, coming straight from the brain rather than heart, cause why not, after all, she is not at a place to be cold or ignore any one of those which she has to work with, and why involve heart when they are not at all at someplace for her to do so. I said. "So tomorrow is the party? Why so fast? You're still not prepared, right?" Cassidy asked. "I'm always prepared, Cassidy. Don't underestimate my talent and I know what I'm doing." She just nodded and continuing making invitation cards. "Use black and gold design there. I want it to look elegant." I said while grinning. Wait for me, Hiro. I'm going to take your life. Also yours, Rovic. I will make sure that tomorrow is the last day of your life. I will make you suffer like you did to me. You're not an exemption.

There's no point sitting around and waiting for fate to do the work because believe me, I did that and I was nowhere near happy. So, the age-old question, Are you happy? It's not really a good question if you think about it... It should be more like, 'Could you be happy?' or 'Are you trying to be happy? or even 'Will you be happy?'. No one is happy all the time because happiness is the result of learning and learning is the result of pain. It's the people that don't know what to do with that pain that can't be happy. I didn't know what to do with it! Sometimes, I still don't. Other times, I just take it and I cherish it, I cherish the way it made me feel and I declare that I never want anyon

She showed them to their seats before taking her own. “Nice to meet you all.” Emma said to the room. “Does anyone here have a name?” Lucas asked abrasively. Everyone starred at him and Emma for a moment. “Not for your concern.” Growled the cowboy in an obviously false country accent. “So we’ll call you Hillbilly the kid then. Then we got her majesty the Queen over here. And I don’t really have anything for the two nanny’s.” Lucas said with a slight smirk. “I’m sorry please excuse him.” Emma said quickly.
