There was some magic working in whole of the Dream Isles that kept the frozen water warm enough to walk even barefoot. The group made it to the Queen's chambers . The huge silver door opened to a ballroom, at the end of which were two giant claws of white ice, each two feet wide . And in between was a sparkling chandelier made of ice, with shards poking out every which way. Beneath the chandelier that was entirely made of icicles, was Queen Elektra.

Jason demanded. “I’m not really sure,” Rob replied. “It was in small doses. He was only ordered to put vervain into her food. He slipped small doses of wolfsbane in hopes she would die. He told me the queen is not only too beautiful, but she has an odd energy about her. Everyone at the castle says it is because her mother was mutant. He is afraid Lord Pierre is in danger of being swept away by her beauty and falling under her wicked, mutant spell.” When I gasped at his words he added, “I don’t think it was a lot of wolfsbane because he wasn’t sure Lord Pierre would approve if he found out. He wanted her death to be slow so it wouldn’t point to him.”

Although, he might already have forgotten her. "Second is the known Ice Queen, Miss Ice. She was a powerful ice user magician and had high proficiency in casting magic. She is a mysterious girl who appeared and disappeared without anyone knowing where she went or goes." The elder paused for a moment and gulped some saliva to wet her drying throat.

The sound rose and fell across the frozen expanse, echoing between the mountains like a mournful song. The wind carried it over the snow-laden trees, weaving it through the icy stillness of the valley. Somewhere beyond the ridges, seated in a castle in a chamber lit up with candles, is a queen. Shadows crawl along the stone walls, and the scent of melting wax mingles with the cold night air that seeps through the narrow windows. It was Kora, fondly known as the queen of Ice. She was seated on a rocky chair, her eyes fixed on the fireplace.

I wait until I hear her footsteps on the stairs before turning back to Faye and picking up the book on the nightstand. “Where was I?" I smile at her, keeping the flow of our conversation for both of us. Opening the book, I flip the ribbon aside. “Ah, yes," I turn the book so that if she were to open her eyes she could see the illustrations. "So the young Queen, both brave and kind, wanted peace for her people. Sacrificing herself, she picked up the starlight chalice even though she knew that it could be the last thing she ever did…” [Queenie]

The room went dead quiet. That was the first time our so-called Ice King raised his voice. Oh wait—he didn’t look so superior anymore. I scoffed. Bastard. I licked my dry lips. “You chose not to be patient. But guess what? Albena, the long dead queen will crush you now. You’ve heard of her legend, right?” The great white wolf lived through her. Oh, it absolutely did. The power Tobias and I witnessed… that wasn’t anything short of the Moon Goddess herself. And that wasn’t even the craziest part.

"I almost wish things were different. That we were meeting under other circumstances. You would have liked me, before Dante destroyed everything." He poured himself another whiskey, raising it in a mock toast. "To Arabelle Moretti-Valerio. The Queen who doesn't know she's playing the wrong side of the board." He drank. "But you will soon enough. And when you do, this whole game changes." Outside his window, the city lights twinkled innocently. Somewhere in that city, Arabelle was probably celebrating her victory. It's huge! "Amazing, right?" She asks and I chuckle, excitement coursing through my veins. "Can I explore this all by myself?" I ask and she laughs. "You seem to have forgotten that you're the queen. Go ahead, just don't get lost" Azalea replies and I nod. As soon as she leaves, I make my way into the library. There are tons of books in here and it's kind of weird especially because this place is a different realm. As I pick out a book which describes the originality of ice witches, I hear a dull thud to my right.
