I told him. “If you have a good idea, speak up.” After a short pause, people began enthusiastically discussing. Some mentioned the battery life—it only lasted forty minutes and needed improvement. Others said the wheels should be quieter. Sheila chimed in too. She thought the current model was too bulky and needed a sleeker, more compact design. These were all valid points, and the designer took notes. Julissa had been thinking too. She had an idea, though she wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to share. Scott gently stroked her back and whispered, “If you have thoughts, share them. Don’t be shy.”

I debated the idea. “It doesn’t have to be a perfect idea. Just something you can focus on while your power does the thing you need.” My dad stood and walked over to me. “It’s more about an outlet for your power to flow through.
