The King's Gamma Novels & Stories

"That's right, no one here is going to hurt you, you are safe. Just keep listening to my voice." After about five minutes, my breathing was back to normal and my father helped me into a chair. I looked around the room to see most people had left. All that was left were my father, Henrik, Ingrid, Olivia, and Ralf, as well as the angry man and the woman who clutched his arm, and tears streamed down her face, the man who had calmed me down, and also another man whose face was a complete mask. "Kari, My name is Carlton, I am the King's Gamma." He said. "He didn't mean to scare you, he was just desperate to see you. Can we all sit and talk?"

The Gamma King was a shrewd ruler, and any hint of deceit would surely lead to dire consequences. "I apologize, Your Majesty," I replied, feigning surprise at his sudden appearance. "I was merely lost in thought, contemplating the events that had unfolded. This war that looms upon us has left me restless, and I found solace in gazing at the night sky." The Gamma King's gaze softened slightly, seemingly satisfied with my response. He nodded, acknowledging my words, but his curiosity still lingered. "I hope you haven't been keeping secrets from me, Tyler. It would be unwise to withhold information during such crucial times," he warned, his voice carrying a veiled threat.

THE LAST NIGHT - ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA of the BLACK SHADOW PACK Jake - 44 years old Aaron and Gavin - 42 years old GAMMA AARON. I stood in the middle of the quadrangle. The warriors would soon finish their training for the day. I let my eyes wander over the training grounds that have been under my command for the last twenty-four years since I took over the Gamma position at the age of eighteen. It has been quite a journey.

I asked him, and he sighed heavily and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. “The king should be back shortly.” He tried to give me a reassuring smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “Let him handle it, my queen.” I cocked my head to the side and narrowed my eyes at him. “Do not make me pull rank over you, Gamma Connor,” I growled lowly at him, placing my hands on my hips. He growled in frustration as he looked away from me. “Connor.” He scoffed. “The king is going to kill me for telling you.”

I turned back toward Kaizen. Hatred burned inside me. "You've always been a stupid jerk." Before he could react… I spat directly at him. The entire room gasped. Nobody moved, nobody breathed. The famous Kaizen Arclair… Campus king. Untouchable Kai. And I'd just spat in his face. Slowly, Kaizen wiped his cheek. His eyes lowered… Not angry. Not cold. Not arrogant. Guilty. The sight unsettled me more than rage ever could. For a long moment, neither of us spoke,

My only thought was that he had found me. I took a breath only when I saw Kyle walk into the kitchen. He walks over to a chair and sits down, for he's quiet for seconds till he finally speaks. "The Alpha King wants me to watch you. Said you've been clumsy all night." He said, looking at my wrapped hand. "Is he mad at me? For breaking the glasses?" Kyle shook his head, "He said he saw what happened, and it wasn't your fault." My eyes widened. The King saw what Gabriel did to me? "He saw?" I asked. Kyle nods, "He said someone bumped into you, and your wrapped hand gave out." I sighed with relief he didn't see what Gabriel did to me after all.

THIRD PERSON'S POV THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO. The people of Coldcrest Pack noticed the change in the air. It was airy and filled with love. Something that was a rarity in their pack. But that was because their Alpha and King, Enzo and his wife, Sera, had just found out the good news. They were going to have a baby. "Finally!" Enzo grinned, his hands rubbing the slender shoulders of Sera. "The gods have blessed us with an heir."

As he begins the lecture, my mind drifts off to thoughts of the boys coming home. Jalen, my brother is the future gamma, Zach is the future beta, and he is Zuri’s brother and, of course, Evander is Imani’s brother. All the boys turned 18 while they were away and from what we’ve heard, they haven’t found their mates yet.

As she reached the balcony overlooking the Great Courtyard, the sight made her blood turn to liquid fire. Ragnar stood alone at the base of the stairs, his Greatsword driven into the ground. Facing him were Alaric Veynor and Lord Darius, backed by fifty armored Alpha warriors. “Hand her over, King!” Alaric’s voice boomed, echoing off the castle walls. “The laws of our ancestors are clear. An Omega who wields the First Flame is an abomination. She is a curse on the bloodline. Give us the witch, or we take the crown by force.”

"He'd be bullied, Adonai. My son would be..." "Our son" his tone also sounded very sad and tacit. "I already pictured how powerful his wolf would be. Gammas are more powerful than a Beta you know." I know you wanted to make me feel better by trying to talk about how Gammas are more powerful than Betas. But we both know, the Gammas are the third in command after the Beta. "I lost my wolf to that bastard...." He turned, eyes fixed on Keiran. "Now our son...."
