I sat beside Derrick on the right side of the grand hall, my posture straight, my chin slightly lifted, the perfect image of a Luna. Inside… something restless unfurled. The large doors opened with a sharp echo, and the court Gamma stepped in, his presence immediately drawing attention. He walked with purpose, holding a sealed letter in his hand. The letter looked important and smelled rich. My fingers curled slightly on my lap. The Gamma bowed before the throne where Alpha King Marshall sat, his imposing presence dominating the entire room even in stillness. “My King,” the Gamma said respectfully. “A message has arrived from Linderia.”

The gammas looked troubled. “No, sir,” the gamma in front. “Why the hell not?!” The King seethed, anger pouring off him in waves. The gamma swallowed hard before saying, “Because Morgan is dead, Sir.”

Gamma dropped the fork to the floor with a loud clang and turned to face everyone defiantly. "I will not eat the food because it is meant for the great Alpha King. I am not meant to eat his food." Gamma said. "Eat the damn food, Hilda!" The Queen mother screamed, looking monstrously angry at that point. "No!" Gamma maintained. "Guards! Take her to the dungeon and abandon her there." The Alpha King commands with no emotion on his face.

"She is a powerful gamma female. She will be the next gamma of the kingdom." "Oh" Delilah was surprised that Havana would become the next gamma. That meant she would always be with the alpha king. "Who is the next Alpha King?" She asked curiously. She did not know anything about the royal family. "Why? Will you start to get fancy for him?"

He cleared his throat, and with visible fear in his eyes, he began, “Your Highness?” “Yes, Gamma Raden?” The King obliged with an encouraging smile. The Gamma said cautiously, “I wasn’t standing very near where you were when you met Gamma Lucianne, so I’m not sure if what I heard was…what I heard.” He hesitated. “You mentioned that Lucy is your mate?” “I did, and she is.” The King responded with a smile, despite the tint of jealousy he felt from the way this warrior called his mate ‘Lucy’ with such affection.
