Boomer’s POV Patience won more battles than brute strength ever would. Most warriors hated waiting. I realize I'm still holding onto the edge of the book and I drop my hand, clearing my throat afterwards. "I hope you enjoy it." "As do i." She walks off after that, tucking the book into the folds of her uniform as she goes on and I watch her until she's out of sight. I want to close my door when I notice Cain standing there, leaning on the door and smiling. "You were wanking off weren't you?" I glare at him and until he chuckles and steps back. "Y'know, some of the warriors believe you can't get it up. They say it's been cut off and your only use is as you know who's whore. I try to tell them they're wrong though, but they don't listen."

It was opened at its last blank page, but words weren’t appearing on it. All the war books wrote themselves and once they were finished, they flew to the bookshelf and placed themselves on it. “What’s wrong with this? Why isn’t it completing itself?” I asked, skimming my eyes from the book to Zephyr. “The war isn’t over yet,” Zephyr said. “One side needs to be defeated for it to end.” “I am defeated, right? The war should end,” I said. “No. This time, it was different. It was you and I against the Saint. You were defeated, but I am still in the war…” Zephyr said.

River's fingers trailed the spine of the next book, its leather cover worn smooth by countless readings. "The Lame Warrior's Triumph," she whispered, opening the pages to reveal the tale of Kaid. Thane's eyes sparkled with curiosity as River began to read: "Kaid, a warrior injured in battle, was deemed unfit for later battles. Yet, he refused to accept fate's dictate. Instead, he honed his mind, sharpening his wit and strategic thinking." As River spoke, Thane's imagination conjured Kaid's determined face, his eyes burning with a fire that would not be extinguished.

I wondered to Youno when he approached me. "Do I look stupid as you?" he asked me a serious question. I shifted my gaze to the envelope he was holding. He placed the envelope on President Snipe's table without taking his eyes off me. "I'm done reviewing those papers, Papa," Youno said seriously while looking at me. "Winchester company is surrounded by traitors, full of corruption, and stupid management," Youno explained without emotion. "What do you mean?" I asked Youno. He threw me the book he was holding.

Chapter 29: The Last Stand Alpha Callum’s POV The air was thick with the scent of smoke and blood as I stood on the battlefield, my mind racing, my body burning from the brutal fight. My pack was scattered around me, fighting with every ounce of strength they had left. The rogues were relentless, overwhelming in their numbers, and despite our best efforts, we were losing ground.
