Mated to the Alpha

The Alpha biker points to Jim. Suddenly, the big burly men grab Jim's arms and drag him to the Alpha biker. Jim struggles, but he is helpless. No match for the two burly men. "Let me go!" Jim shouts. He looks at me. I can see the confusion on his face. He doesn't understand why I am not doing anything. He will in a minute... The Alpha biker pulls a big hunting knife out of its sheath. I smell the metal and the leather. I don't like the smell.

He was leaning in toward Audrey with a shy expression! But this time, Javier stopped him before he got close. "Are you a mafia boss?" Butch was stunned by Javier's sudden question. He then replied with a smile, "Are you a policeman?" Javier shook his head. "I'm not a policeman. I'm just curious about pieces of trash like you. There’ve been so many gang crackdowns lately. Why didn’t they take you?" Butch laughed. "Because I’ve got tough skin, and I can’t be cracked!"

With the way he bowed his head and wagged his tail at Timothy, he'd be the definition of a dumb dog if he stuck out his tongue. Yara rolled up her sleeves and approached the duo. "Jamie, aren't you supposed to be at school? What are you doing here?" Jamie was in the middle of discussing his plans to transfer to the law department. After almost being sent to jail by that scumbag, he realized that violence wasn't going to be enough. He had to understand the law. He needed to know how to make the law his weapon to send his bullies behind bars. Otherwise, he'd end up in prison himself.

Dam*! this story captivates my adrenaline I'll have to force myself for an interval, how much more assaults Callie has to go through before she gets her happy ending. Lily in the name of wealth/fame is just another typical homewrecker hypocritical Bit*h! too many exist even in non-fictional world

i just started reading. i hope it is not as disappointing like other stories i read, exciting to read in the beginning because of the great character build up, but more chapters were added, the more the story become disappointing. The character came out of what they where built up. I hope not.

A Deal With Pierce Verlice

A Deal With Pierce Verlice

"You have to do something for me, Jim. Something that'll save your President." Lawrence exploited a loophole he knew will make the man open up his mind to him. Just like he expected, Jim asked anxiously, "What is it? I'll do whatever it takes to save my boss." "I know you would." Replied Lawrence as he patted Jim's head softly. "Remember you have to tell me what your President does every day in order for me to help him. Failure to do so will keep him in grave danger, do you understand?" Jim nodded.

Two Brothers. One Soulmate

Two Brothers. One Soulmate

“Who is Mr. Knights lawyer? Liam says this lawyer has a way of making things… disappear.” Wilder pulled a folder out of his jacket and handed it to Saint. “His name is Samuel L. Lance” He said, “been a lawyer for about thirty eight years. He’s won many cases where crucial evidence has gone missing and his clients are questionable. Many of them are criminals ranging in everything from assault, drugs, and in five cases… murder.” A clang came from the kitchen and everyone turned their head to see Jackson picking a pot off the floor. Nathan jumped up off the couch and went over to help him.

I wanted to make those who hurt her pay. The day I got the DNA test results, I knew I needed the best lawyer in town. However, Jack was the top lawyer around. I could not bring myself to call him for a long time. When I finally did, Yvonne answered. "Jack's busy with my brother's case. Don't cause any trouble," she said. I held my phone tightly, feeling like something bad was coming. "What case?" I asked, my voice shaking without me even noticing. However, Yvonne did not want to explain and just hung up on me.

The proof reading for this novel is incredibly bad. The writing in general itself too also is very lethargic, it feels like it's written by primary going kid. I wanted to give the storyline some chance but honestly I could not due to incredible poor writing skills

I want to read this book because others have recommended. I have read earlier comments about grammatical errors that were really bad and some duplicate chapters. I was just wondering if they were corrected especially duplicate chapters because I have come across too many books with that issue and

Gosh! My Silly Husband Is a Rich Boss

Marcus gestured for Sonnet to kindly leave the room as he said, “There’s no need for you to worry about anything, Miss Turner. I’ll handle everything.” Sonnet then left the room. Jim’s pained screams rang out from the room as she headed downstairs. Sonnet paused as chills filled her heart. It seemed like the Brooks family were not simply people. Even their lawyer was capable of committing such deeds.

My Lawyer Wife Buried Me Twice

" With every piece of evidence she laid out, Declan's face grew a little paler. By the time she finished, he shot out of his chair. "Serena! Have you lost your mind? What the hell are you doing?" "I'm submitting evidence." Serena turned to look at him, and there wasn't a trace of warmth in her eyes. "As an attorney, it's my duty to ensure the integrity of these proceedings." "Integrity?" Declan's voice went high and shrill, like a dog backed into a corner. "We had a deal! Fletcher was supposed to take the fall! What is this?" "Fletcher is dead."

Frequently Asked Questions

Storm Front' by Jim Butcher is the first book in the 'Dresden Files' series, and oh boy, does it throw you headfirst into a wild ride! The story follows Harry Dresden, a wizard who works as a private investigator in modern-day Chicago. The city's got magic lurking beneath its surface, and Harry's the guy who deals with the weird stuff that no one else can handle. In this book, he's hired to solve a double murder involving some seriously dark magic, and things spiral out of control fast. There's a mob boss, a mysterious shadowy figure, and even a demon to contend with—Harry's got his hands full.

What I love about 'Storm Front' is how it blends hardboiled detective noir with fantasy elements. Harry's sarcastic, down-on-his-luck charm makes him instantly likable, and the world-building feels fresh despite the urban fantasy tropes. The magic system is grounded in rules but still feels mysterious, and the pacing keeps you hooked. It’s not the most polished book in the series (Butcher’s writing gets even better later), but it’s a solid introduction to a universe that just keeps expanding. By the end, you’ll be itching to pick up 'Fool Moon' to see what mess Harry stumbles into next.
