The Leopard Novels & Stories

“Let me handle it.” Kate didn’t move. “You better be right.” The leopard came closer. Its ears twitched. Its lips peeled back slightly, showing white teeth tinged with pink. Kate closed her eyes, just for a second, maybe praying, maybe preparing for impact. Then, like a coil snapping, the leopard leapt into the air, aiming straight at me. And I didn’t run.

I almost cried out in pure relief when a dozen or more warriors crowded into the gardens in their big cat forms, being led by a large and beautiful snow leopard with eyes just as blue as Gillians. The snow leopard shifts, his uniform falling over his midsection and covering his male appendage, a sword that was strapped to his back, now in his hand, lifts and comes down fast across the back of the hellhound's neck, slicing him open but not doing enough damage to kill him.

There were trails of animals, and it was a good sign. She was out of breath when she stopped. Her feet continued to heal and bleed. Malaika flinched when she peeked beside a large stone, and a snow leopard was walking on the ice-covered surface, preying on the herd of elks. “Are you sure the leopard is not a shifter?” Malika whispered. “What do you think?” Xoxo said sarcastically. Malaika looked down her chest. She only saw the axolotl giving a luminous green light with its eyes closed.

The warning came to him as nothing more than a brush of fur against a chair, but it was enough. Jacob sprang away from the unconscious woman, whirling to meet the threat, his snarl exposing gleaming white teeth. This was a huge leopard, a good two hundred pounds, and it sprang at him, its strange, inky eyes fixed on him with lethal malevolence. He leapt into the air to meet the beast, shape-shifting as he did so, his body stretching, contorting, golden fur rippling over heavy muscle as he took another form to meet the deadly threat. They met in midair, two huge male cats in their prime, at full strength, rending and tearing with claws and teeth. The black leopard seemed determined to fight t

“A Leopard? Clara?” “Yes, Liz. We are a Leopard, but more than that we are a rare Royal Leopard. Our mother… But that is a story for another time… Let's go take a look, shall we?” I walk over to the edge and take a couple of steps into the water, allowing Elizabeth to share with me before I tilt my head down and allow her to take a look at us. She mentally smiles and has tears stinging even the back of my cat eyes as we take in our beautiful black spotted fur with whitish yellow fur flowing in between each unique spot.

Hearing Philip's words, Iris moved her hand, and a vine wrapped around Leopard's feet. Leopard roared, and his body burst into flames. Although he was not as imposing as Philip, his move was quite eye-catching. With Iris' control, Leopard charged at the exotic beast! There were burning flames on his hand in the shape of a leopard. Those who saw this scene snorted coldly and said, “That exotic beast is very strong. He’s simply courting death!”

"We have about thirty-six clans here and two general dwellings." "Clans? Dwellings? you have lost me." Eline smiled at her confusion. "I heard you saw Degar change into his other half, the Leopard?" At Ismena's nod, she continued, "The home for all leopards is their clan—The Leopard Clan, with the strongest Alpha as a leader. Degar is the strongest of his kind and the leader of the leopard clan." Strong. Powerful. A conqueror. She remembered Wolfariane's words about the man. "I understand now. Although so many things are still unclear."

I might actually believe that last part. So far, the ones who have spoken are grumpy. Earlier today, I encountered a spotted leopard. When I saw her, I screamed in terror at seeing the large cat wandering freely around the city. I ran away. Leo later shared that the leopard is the records keeper for the land, and she lives in the castle. Her name is Violet, and she can speak as well as him or me. Now I think about it, she looked adorable. She walked on her hind legs and wore a brightly colored gown.

Up close she’s huge but not terrifying, her gray-white fur patterned with dark rosettes, pink nose twitching, ocean-blue eyes fixed on me. “Come on,” he urges. Skeptical, I kneel and reach out, eyes squeezed shut. Ben chuckles and presses his hand over mine, guiding it across her fur. I don’t know if it’s the softness of her coat or his hand over mine, but tingles race up my arm. “What is she? A jaguar?” I ask. “Leopard. Snow leopard,” he corrects. Oh. Way off. “Did you buy her? Doesn’t she need snow to survive?”

Chapter 17 To give himself to the beast was easy and hard all at once. The creature was motivated by blood and violence and the hunt. Not by logic and emotions....but as Ezekiel slid into the back seat of his own mind and body...one thing unified him and his beasts will like nothing before....and it was the urge to see Brandon protected from harm. Instinctively knowing to keep Brandon at its back, but also in its peripheral sight the leopard stalked forwards. The leopard instantly pinpointed his attacker, and leapt through the air. Putting all of his might into his voice, willing it to pour into the earth itself. He declared his
