The Life Intended Novels & Stories

She was more soul food than eye candy. Jaimee closed her eyes and said her prayer for the day which included her two sons, Devan and Aaron, her mother, Alice, her man, Sean and his daughters, Abigail and Erica. She prayed that the day was happy and healthy for all of them and that God granted them all His grace and mercy. She prayed that if it was in His master plan, that her event today was exciting and successful! She thanked Him for all He had done for her.

"Is that possible? To write something for someone who is gone?" I thought about Isara's last letter. About sitting in the garden with it in my hands, the seal broken, the words of a woman who had been dead for decades landing in the present moment with the full weight of genuine intention. "Yes," I said. "It is possible. Things written with genuine intention reach the people they are for. Not across death — the intention is what makes the document matter to the living who receive it. The person who wrote it and the person who reads it are both present in the genuine intention." I paused. "Write it. It will matter."

Each page radiated intention, care, and a promise of shared ambition. “This is… incredible,” she murmured. “It feels like we’re mapping not just our future, but a life that actually belongs to us.” Jordan’s hand found hers, fingers intertwining naturally. “It does belong to us. Every choice, every step… it’s ours to make. And I want you there, every step of the way.”

“In peace.” God. Adrian wrapped one arm gently around her waist from behind. “You know what I realized recently?” “What?” “I stopped feeling like life was happening to me.” Silence. “It finally feels like our life.” God. That nearly emotionally destroyed her. Because once, they moved through life reactively. Fearfully. Now they built intentionally. Together. Soft music drifted quietly through the warm evening air while waves crashed endlessly below the cliffs. Then suddenly Elena laughed softly under her breath. “What?” “We used to be so dramatic.”

"What do you mean?" "The last two lines," she said. "They said it was always supposed to be this. Not *it should be* or *it must be* it *was* supposed to be this. Past intention." She held his gaze. "Whoever wrote it was looking back at something that had already happened and saying yes, this is what we meant. This is what we were building toward from the beginning." "A relationship," he said quietly. "Between the heir and the anchor and everyone around them," she said. "Not a contract. Not an arrangement. A relationship of responsibility that starts between two people and extends outward."

I reached for her, pulling her into a quiet embrace. Our life wasn’t perfect. But it was intentional. And that, I was learning, made all the difference.

They had never imagined that the meaning of life could be so deep. Zayn talked about the topic of life charismatically for half an hour. “Mr. Brookes, I’m done and this is my understanding of life,” said Zayn as he looked toward Paxton with a smile at last. Paxton clapped for him and he did not attempt to conceal his approval for Zayn. He said, “Not bad, not bad. Well said. That is the cardinal principle about the essence of life.” Zayn did not feel any pride. He was one step away from being an invincibilis fighter after all. He would be useless if he could not even figure out the meaning of life.

Not in any language I had been given a framework for tonight. In ordinary words. In the language of someone who had been carrying something for a very long time and had found the person to give it to and was giving it in the most direct way available. “I have been looking for you since before you were born,” she said. “Since before your mother was born. Since before the keeper lineage began.” She held my gaze. “I am the original intention. Not a representation of it. Not a frequency produced by it. The thing itself in the form it takes when it needs to move through the world.” She paused. “I have been moving through the world since before the corruption was installed. Looking for the conditi
