I struggled to remember, haunted by a word written in bold letters and underlined—“Transformation.” Lucy’s house is huge. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t exactly live in a shoebox, but she has five bathrooms—five. And there are only four people in her house! And her bedroom has a little alcove in it where she has a sofa, sort of like my sister’s room, except it is not supposed to be the master. She has a pool and a big back yard with lots of flowers in it and even a fountain. Seriously. A fountain.

“You’ll help in here first. This is Lucy. She’ll show you around.” Lucy looked up from slicing carrots. She was about Anna’s age, with short brown hair tied into a low bun. Her eyes were soft, tired but kind. “Hey,” Lucy said. “You new?” “Yeah,” Anna said, stepping beside her. Lucy glanced around before whispering to Anna, “You nervous?” Anna nodded. “Yeah, very nervous. This place feels… different.” “It is,” Lucy said. “This is the heart of the house. If you mess up here, someone notices.”

After sending Elaine’s family off, Lucy’s family of four, which was originally warm and inviting, suddenly became somewhat silent. Lucy’s expression was a little grim, whereas the other three felt as if they could finally rest and relax now that the performance was finally over. Lucy’s expression was grim as she returned to the room. She sat down on the sofa directly and raised her eyes to look at Jalen and Kyler. After that, she raised her hand and smashed a glass at their feet. Both of them were so frightened that they jumped back in place in fear.

She whispered and Lucy looked even sadder, especially her teary eyes. The girl looked at him and Lucy quickly averted her gaze. Ely noticed her eye feeling something. It was as if the young woman was also sad, because she thought that her sadness meant something else in her eyes. "Are you okay? I'll leave you, I need to go home." Ely said and just straightened his face. Lucy just nodded. When Ely turned away, Lucifer suddenly spoke. "Thank you, be careful coming home." Lucy said and the girl just turned to her and smiled slightly.

I pull my arm out from under her, watching horrified as her eyelids flash open, bright rays of white light beaming from them. "Lucy!" I shout. My blood is now pumping quickly through my system. I have no idea what's normal or not. Her eyes are open wide, not blinking or moving. They're solid white, and the light is shooting up into the ceiling, completely illuminating the room. Seth and Leon come running into the room. Leon runs into the back of Seth as he stops abruptly, taking in the sight of Lucy, flaccid on the bed, with lights beaming from her eyes.

THIRD PERSON'S POV Lucy entered the house clad in her black-on-black outfit. A symbolic dressing meant for this moment. Dark-tinted glasses covered her eyes, adding to the aura. Logan’s eyebrows raised as he saw her. He immediately rushed to her. "Thank God you are back!” He exclaimed happily. “How did it go?” He immediately asked, holding on to her hand, an eager look on his face. Lucy snatched her hand away and removed her black shades. “Here…” she pressed a file on his chest. “Sign it,” she said, her eyes cold and sharp.

He should recover soon. Lucy said, "I'll be right there, Mr. Jones." As she ended the call, she was overjoyed by the news. Soon, she changed her clothes and was ready to head out. She bumped into Rhett and Millie when she arrived at the living room. Rhett asked, "Lucy, where are you rushing off to?" Lucy enthusiastically said, "Rhett, Mr. Jones called me and said Mom's fully recovered her eyesight. I want to see her."

Luckily, as an avid reader of this series I knew exactly what was going on. “Hey, your name is Lucy right?” I asked politely- even though I knew for a fact her name is Lucy. The shy dark haired girl with blue eyes winced before looking up at me and nodded. I smiled apologetically and continued, “My name’s Paisley. It’s pretty noisy in here, isn’t it?” I smiled softly. Lucy looked around cautiously before subtly nodding. I slowly placed my hands over her ears. “It’s not so loud anymore, right?” I smiled.

Why would she say” She flinched as the city blurred past. “Why would she say anything to Greg?” The vehicle surged into the industrial hush of DiMarco territory and, in a matter of heartbeats, they were inside the safehouse: concrete walls, barred windows, men with faces like knives. The world outside felt like a film, everything unreal. The steel door slammed like fate. She set the clipboard aside, pulled out a small flashlight, and shined it in my eyes. The sudden burst of light made me wince. Her hands moved with practiced ease, checking the bandages on my side, her fingers brushing against tender flesh.
