The luna trials Novels & Stories

For a moment, I couldn’t even process what she’d said. Then the words hit like a slap. “A what?” “A Luna Trial,” she repeated, slower this time, like I was a bomb about to explode. “It’s an ancient tradition for disputed Luna candidates. You’ll be assigned a task or challenge by the council. If you complete it, they accept your role as Matteo’s Luna.” “And if I fail?” I asked, voice trembling despite my best effort. Mila hesitated. “Mila.” She swallowed. “If you fail… they’ll demand he rejects you. Or worse.”

Half the pack had gathered to watch, standing along the edges of the open space, their eyes bright with curiosity and skepticism in equal measure. I recognized some of them from my previous life at the compound, pack members who had tolerated my presence as the "human" stepsister. Others were strangers, wolves I'd never seen before. And then there was Kira, standing directly across from where I stood with Ronan, Maddox, and Alec. Her expression was carefully neutral, but her eyes blazed with something venomous. "A Luna's first trial is simple," Ronan explained, his voice pitched to carry to the assembled pack. "She must shift and demonstrate control over both her wolf and her magic. She must

When the trial is over and we have our wedding night… I’ll drain your immortal essence dry and slowly torture you to death! Luna naturally could not hear those thoughts. Hence, she nodded politely to the disciples around and led the attendants, including Andrius, toward the trial grounds. The trial grounds were sealed by a towering bronze gate, keeping what was inside out of view. When Luna and the others arrived at the gate… Whoosh! A stream of light shot out from Louis and struck the lock on the gate, causing it to tremble. The heavy creaking sound echoed in everyone’s ears as the bronze gate opened, as if a tome of history was being opened.

Everything was going exactly as she planned. Grandmother Eleanor’s cane tapped sharply on the stone floor. The sharp crack silenced the murmurs immediately. “The Luna trial will now begin.” Her eyes swept the pack before settling on me. “This trial has existed for centuries. It is not about birthright or marriage. It is about worth.” “If she is to be Luna, she must prove she deserves the title.” A ripple of anticipation stirred the crowd. Clara leaned close to a warrior nearby. “Bring the first test,” she whispered.

rihanna asked after a while "oh dear i haven't seen them but i think thatss jacky with the old luna" she pointed at the opposite direction. i turned and true to it, jack was walking with the old luna, he was looking so excited, when their eyes met, he beamed with joy waving at me ignoring the murmurs around him as well as the surprise and shock in the eyes of the pack members who had been there for a very long time on seeing the old luna. The pack was so clean, deliberate efforts were made to clean up the mess of the previous day in preparation for the coming of the old luna. The air smelt fresh and welcoming and peace and freedom lingered in the air. Rihanna and alice waited for the duo to

I smiled at him and then hissed, regretting that such an idea had even crossed my mind. I thought the pain was going to crack my skull. I closed my eyes and applied the compress harder, covering my whole face, mumbling profanities. "You're right; it would be easier and faster, but not for her." Andrew reminded me suddenly, "Luna's Law is important to her not only because it is a law specifically created for people like her but because it means her victory will not be attributed to some Alpha taking her pack away and handing it to her, but to her victory in a court battle where she presented indisputable evidence and a duel that she won through skill and dedication. People will not forget thi

asked Yura looking curious. Aron looked at Jessy asking for his approval to tell his mother about the incident earlier. The girl nodded, she thought if the woman knew maybe she could solve the mystery that was happening now. In a few minutes, Aron told Yura about what happened during the full moon. Yura wasn't surprised at all. His guess was not wrong in the slightest. "Welcome princess Jessy to the world of wolves." Yura smiled, hearing her mother call Jessy a princess made Aron and Jessy even more confused. What Yura said again invited questions from the two of them.

There started to be a few cheers around us. "Then let the blood that soaks into the earth bind you here and remind you of your oath here this day, for you are now the official Pike Ridge Pack Luna." The applause exploded from around us and I couldn't help but beam at my new family. I did it, I had become Luna! Nikko wrapped my hand in a clean rag to keep the blood from dripping any more until it healed. Then, he pulled me off the podium and into the arms of everybody waiting. **********

Jackson mind-linked to me. “I love you too,” I replied, wiping away my tears. We were ready for the second part of the ceremony. Elder Johanna was leading the ritual. She approached us, placed her hand over our joined hands, prayed to Selene, and nodded to Jackson. “I, Jackson, Alpha of the Silver Moon pack, declare you, my mate Loreen Liira of the Silver Moon pack, our Luna—the Luna who will stand beside me to lead and protect our pack,” Jackson proclaimed. “I, Loreen Liira, born of the Lunar Eclipse pack and now a member of the Silver Moon pack, accept the title of Luna to Alpha Jackson and to our Silver Moon pack,” I said, locking eyes with him.

The chamber smelled of damp stone and old blood, every word echoing like judgment against me The first council spoke from the center “The mark burns because the Luna rises. You cannot hide it forever.” I responded coldly and dismissively “She is nothing to me.” Murmurs rippled as my sleeve slipped, faint light betraying me. The second council leaned forward “You are bound to her. The prophecy chains you. Why reject?” My wolf snarled at the mention of Luna, clawing at my chest as if mocking me. The third council’s voice was firm “You are Alpha. The prophecy foretold of the Luna born from a bite. She is yours.”
