I could not tell if it was safe to trust him. Lucas guided me to the booth. The man did not move. He waited. Lucas set my phone on the table, face down. He slid the messages across. The man reached out. His hand emerged from the sleeve. The cap tipped back. My breath caught in my throat. It was a guy dressed in black hoodie with black joggers and his face was all covered up. I could barely see any other thing on him apart from this His eyes were hard. His lips were pressed into a thin line. He did not smile. He did not speak.

“Don’t drink that.” “Why?” “That man beside you put something into your cup.” “That man over there.” The lady tilted her head toward the man with the black top hat. He pretended he was watching the opera. The man was patiently waiting for the woman to take a sip of her drink. The lady's friend got up from her seat and she went down stairs to alert security of the situation. She told them what the man had done and she pointed to where he was seated. The man in the top hat saw them looking at him and then he saw an officer standing there as well. He got up and exited the booth and he ran down stairs hoping to beat them to the door.

Not far from where she was, a man with chains on his legs was sitting while watching Aleta's movements from earlier. Aleta did not say anything. She just looked at the man in confusion. A man dressed all in black with wounds and dried blood on his hands. The man's face was partially covered by a mask, which made it impossible for Aleta to get a clear view of the man's face. "I've already done something similar. But it was in vain and I ended up staying here," the man told Aleta. Aleta stayed where she was. She had no intention of approaching the man despite her curiosity.

If he had really worked with the two of them, then he would be crazy! The black-masked man still wanted to work with the bald man. He was not as greedy as the white-robed man. He merely wanted to get rid of the beast. Yet, the white-robed man had said something like that and completely destroyed any chance for negotiations. The bald man never trusted them to begin with.
