Although Millie did not train as an enforcer, she’d practised as a warrior since we were little, and she could take on any wolf, alpha alike. We were progressing, and it seemed victory would be ours. The wolf’s bane had weakened Ralf’s men, and their strength waned. I sighed in relief. A miraculous victory seemed imminent.

We would devastate Blood Moon hard and fast. I shifted. My senses sharpened. The ground underneath quivered with the paws of so many wolves moving at once in the same direction.
