That was until I realized someone was yelling. “Why are you guys all fussing over her? Missy knows her place. She knows she doesn’t belong here.” “Missy?” Dean repeated, his eyes doing that blue glowy thing. “Missy Mistake,” I said. “That was my name in the pack, because of the whole Harry wasn’t my dad.” “Wow,” Dean said, shaking his head. “What?” Beth asked, looking genuinely confused. “Why are you all pretending that isn’t a problem?”

It only takes a second for the pain to ebb away, replaced by that cold sensation that feels incredibly refreshing, but still I shiver, my teeth chattering as my vision abruptly clears, and the room finally rushes into view. The mural on my ceiling, the stars and the moon cycle, distract me from the women bickering nearby and the shuffling of feet. I slowly turn my head, watching as Misty ties her long, golden hair away from her face and plants her hands on her hips, speaking to my mom in low tones. “She’s fine, really. She’s just exhausted. Maeve’s powers are…” Misty licks her lips, shaking her head. “I’m going to stick around for a few days, all right? Just in case.”

But as the mist swirls and thickens, it expands—spreading outward, enveloping the room in a haze. Some packmembers shift uneasily, instinctively bristling, but no one moves. The mist feels… alive. It is translucent, tinged with hints of deep blue and violet, like a twilight sky just before the stars appear. It dances in the air, swirling around the warriors and elders, as if inviting them into the vision. The room goes silent except for the soft sound of the mist shifting in the air. I feel the pull of the magic, and the images begin to form.

Chapter 2: Whispers in the Mist The mist clung to the mountain paths like a soft veil the next morning, softening the edges of the world into that dreamy, high-detail haze Lila had come to associate with their fragile truce. She walked along the neutral riverbank, her braided hair swaying gently beneath the hood of her cream sweater, the fabric still carrying faint traces of last night’s rain. On one side of her thoughts stood the cool blue sadness of duty—her pack’s expectations, the long history of blood between Shadowfang and her own Moonveil clan. On the other, a calm, glowing hope beckoned, like the wise older presence guiding her toward a future she could barely name. The rain had ease

Quinn picked it up, holding it carefully in his arms. "Woo woo--" Misty whimpered again, shaking its little head gently, as if saying it didn't want to see the doctor, it wanted to leave with its mother. But its mother was no longer there, and there was no point in it staying. It wanted to go to another world to find its mother. Quinn wanted to say something more, but Misty whimpered twice, closed her eyes, dropped her head, and took her last breath in the palm of Quinn's hand.

The hum of normal life. She stared for a moment, disoriented. “Mommy?” Kael asked, confused. Before she could react, a blur of motion drew her gaze across the fairgrounds. Then she saw him, someone slipping into the shadows between two tents, just at the edge of the fairground. A dark jacket, a flash of something metallic at his belt. Her mystery man. Gone as quickly as he appeared. She stood rooted to the spot for a second, the sounds of the fair suddenly warping in her ears, too loud, too cheerful. Laughter. Music. Screams from the nearby rollercoaster. All of it a lie. All of it a distraction.

Ross scoffed. Trent leaned back in his chair, disgust and exhaustion crossing his face. “You know what? I don’t care about your life anymore. I don’t care. What I care about is this—” his eyes hardened, “you end things with Bridget. Because me and Misty are serious. Do you hear me? Serious.” For a moment, silence. Even the monitor seemed to hold its beep. Then Misty’s hand slipped into her bag. “There’s… something else,” she whispered.

My thoughts were disoriented and a headache was forming in my head. I did turn my thoughts away from today’s events focusing on the color in the house simple yet stunning gray, white, and brown. The living room was big enough for a tennis court. The curtains were beige draping from the ceiling down. The crystal chandelier in the middle of the room. This was a double-story mansion that was clean to the tee that if my hair fell, I could see it with my invisible eye without squinting.

I said with a puppy look. "Alright! Just stop that dog's face of yours. It's disgusting" she said and laugh and I just pouted because of that. Since I'm here alone in the living room and Kristel is on the kitchen making foods, so I decided to watch movies while waiting my nuggets to get cooked. I decided to watch wolfblood because I find it cool you know. I love Maddie in this series because she's pretty. I like her eyes, nose and even her hair. It's beautiful.
