In the Name of the Sacred Tree

In the Name of the Sacred Tree

Zoey asked curiously. I then explained to Zoey why she needed to change her name again. I think changing Zoey's name was important to obscure her identity from people who might be looking for her. Moreover, Zoey was free from the brothel. That meant anyone could approach Zoey if they found out the truth. “I see,” Zoey said, “then what name are you going to give me? "You have a sweet voice. In Greek mythology, there were nine goddesses of the show known as the Goddess of the Muses. One of them was nicknamed The One with the Golden Voice.

I suggested. “Okay, but which ones? There are like nine.” Clay arched his eyebrow. “Hold on. Let me look up the names.” I sighed, leaving the room to find my phone in our bedroom. I wanted to take pictures anyways, so while I walked back upstairs, I pulled up a list of the muse names. “Here we go,” I announced as I sat back down. “How about Calliope, Thalia, Melete, Aoide, and Erato?” I suggested using a mixture of the nine muses and the original three since no one seems to agree on how many muses there are.

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Soundless Violin

Soundless Violin

I rubbed the bridge of my nose, “Then as I was playing, I saw Apollo’s flute… the next thing I know I’m floating.” Her voice softened, “What color was around you?” “A blue-ish white, I think…” I shook my head, “I don’t know, all I remember is that it felt like pure water washed over me.” She folded her arms, “Water… huh? That sounds like the Muse of Soundless Harmony, Struan.” “I thought there was only four Muses who were female,” I grinned. Apollo shrugged, “Even Goddesses needed to bare heirs.” “This is so confusing,” I groaned and got up, “Wait here. After I change into something more comfortable, we can go over to the library.”
