Luna also looked at the woman's legs. "What's your name?" Luna asked. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Selena," she said, and Luna was slightly surprised, which Selena noticed. "Is there something wrong with my name?" Selena asked. "No, it's just that I have a bad impression of that name," Luna replied, making Selena smile awkwardly. "Never mind, I'm sure not everyone named Selena is as bad as I thought, especially not you," Luna answered, trying to smile at Selena.

“Mama! Mama! My moon appeared last night!” Luna knelt down on the grass. The girl couldn’t be more than 4 years old. Her name was Hope. Because that’s what Luna had named her. Hope for the future. “Show me, baby,” Luna said, tucking hair behind the girl’s ear. The girl pointed up with a chubby finger. And there it was. A tiny new moon in the sky, just appeared that night. Pink like her favorite flower. It pulsed once, bright and proud, then settled into the sky with the others.

You may have heard of her. Her name is Selene.” “That witch.” Amarah snorted. “She interrupted the sound of the flute. I have no idea what she did but Dark was calm immediately.” The figure grinned rubbing his chin. “Just as I thought.” He muttered to himself.

~Elena~ "Welcome, my future Luna." The words barely had time to settle before Crystal stiffened like she’d been struck. The air froze. Then— "Excuse me?" she snapped, voice like a blade, sharp and cold. Trevor turned, unreadable, but Crystal was already seething. "I am the future Luna," she spat, her fingers digging into Ryan’s arm like claws. "Not her." Her gaze burned into Trevor’s, daring him to challenge her. Daring him to argue.

I’m Selene Rivers’ daughter.” The name hit like a punch. Selene. The one who betrayed me, and tried to destroy me. The one who disappeared after the Blood Moon fight when everyone thought she died from Axel’s evil.

His chest rose and fell, too fast for someone standing still. “What’s her name,” he asked softly. Lyra hesitated. It felt like handing over something too fragile for this rooftop, for this city, for his shaking hands. “Luna,” she said. It came out on a breath. “Her name is Luna.” His eyes closed. Of course they did. Of course, the universe would make the cruel joke complete: a blessed Luna calling her daughter that, named after what every old wolf in the city had tried to make her into.
