I just got home from school and I entered my bedroom, hurriedly putting down my school things on top of my study table. I sat down on my bed with the intention to lay down for a minute before changing my uniform but I was surprised when I saw Yoon Jeonghan talking to someone on the phone. I could see his room perfectly through my window. This guy was my handsome neighbor since my seventh grade. He was at the same school as mine and he was two years ahead of me but that didn't stop me from liking him.

As I look across the room, a smile creeps across my face. I'm still amazed that I live in such a pricey property in Alabang's most renowned neighborhood. Never in my wildest thoughts could I imagine myself walking through such a place, let alone living here. Fortunately, Rachel, an old college friend, introduced me to Romina Martinez and suggested that I apply for the nanny post she had open.

Standing in front of me were my neighbors from across the hall. I knocked on the door, which swung open, revealing the warm, and welcoming expression of Mrs. Rodriquez. "Hi, Jimena," she greeted, her smile crinkling the corners of her eyes. Mrs. Rodriquez was a kind older lady who lived alone in the apartment next to mine. She was a good person and would often offer to pick up and look after Natalie after school.

Standing in front of Shirley was not the group of people who delivered candy earlier but the middle-aged man who had just asked for directions. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I intrude?" the neighbor next door said awkwardly. "I'm really sorry! I just moved in this morning and there are some things I'm still not sure about, so I wanted to ask." Shirley felt even more embarrassed. At this moment, Anna walked out of the room. "Shirley, who's here?" Hearing her mother's voice, Shirley felt relieved and turned to answer her mother, "Mom, it's the neighbor! Just moved in this morning!"

I was still watching what was happening around me when suddenly, I saw a bus filled with lots of luggage coming into our streets slowly. “A new neighbor, huh? The kind that wouldn’t mind their business I guess” I hissed as I took a gulp from my tea and swallowed it peacefully. I hated neighbors that would never mind their business. They would always want to come over to your place to act all cool and pretend to be nice, so they could make their way into your heart. I could recall having an experience with a man called Nathan. He was nice and all sweet. He brought me cookies and I really enjoyed his company until one day, he came into my house very late at night.

It seemed she was truly angered this time. Oddly, no one was at home. Bennett knocked on the neighbor's door, but the neighbor refused to answer. He yelled, "Police! Open the door!" The neighbor peeked through the spy hole and cautiously opened his door to a slight crack after seeing Bennett's police badge. Bennett asked with a frown, "Where are the people living across from you?" The neighbor, knowing that a family of three lived from across him, stammered upon seeing Bennett, "W-We are at work that time. I-I have no idea."

That is when he noticed, she looks so bright like the sun he hates. In the morning, he kept thinking about his neighbor. He saw a great place earlier on his news feed. It says there is a firework display later at seven in the evening, he remembers it is the yearly festival of their town. He can invite her to the bay walk. The fireworks are really gorgeous in that view. "Mom, do you know anything about our neighbor? The one in the 45th?" "I heard they are orphans. I don't know much about them. Why?"
