Elise said in a flat tone. “You’re such a dandy girl, ain’t ya?” Nellie chuckled as she made her way to the basin and immersed both weathered and gnarled hands into the shallow bowl. Her head twisted and turned as if she was looking for something. “I thought there was a spring out back.” “He never got around to piping it into the house,” Elise said wistfully. Nellie’s brows knit together as she said, “That would sure make life easier.”

"We should go back to the view deck; it's more beautiful now that we're in the middle of the ocean." "That's what I'm thinking. Let's go?" Nelly said as she stood up. However, before we could get to the stairs, her phone rang. Nelly stopped to retrieve her cellphone inside her clutch bag. Her eyebrow drew as soon as she saw the screen of her phone, and then she hurriedly swiped to answer. "Hello, mom?" Nelly paused, listening to the other line. "Mom, calm down; what is it?"

A quiet sigh escaped his mouth when I took him into my mouth. My Alpha was right. I was getting bolder every day. And he loved it. Meanwhile, somewhere else, Nelle was not having a good morning. She sat in the back of a black jeep, her hands clutching her purse. She looked around nervously. It all started when she woke up to the sound of someone ringing her doorbell. The ringing was loud and constant. “Mom!” Nelle shouted, hoping her mother would answer the door.

After a small click, Neil’s voice rang out of the necklace, “Mommy, Nigel, Nellie. By the time you hear this recording, Uncle Theo and I are probably gone now. If by the time you hear this, you’ve already received news of my death, please don’t be too sad—this is what Uncle Theo and I wanted.” Neil let out an exhale and continued with a hint of a smile in his voice as if he had already braced himself for the worst, “Zach and Yuri took Nellie with them and pretended to escape, but in reality, they hid themselves. We know that whoever’s coming after us won’t be fooled by the empty car, so if Uncle Theo and I left as well, they’d shift their target and search the nearby houses to find Nellie.”

"Mr. Zeller, you're new to Gray City, right? Have you bought a car yet?" Nelly was attractive, tall, and slim. Her fitted sky-blue uniform showed off her long legs, which drew glances from passing men. "No, not yet." Gathering her courage despite her nervousness, Nelly continued, "Our company gives special bonuses for villa sales and commissions. With how much I earned today, I'd like to thank you by driving you around to shop for what you need. Would that be okay?"

"Okay. I'm in." --- Nell didn't go back to her room. She walked to the basement door instead. The hallway was dark. The lock was cold beneath her fingers. She pressed her ear to the wood. "Elias," she whispered. Silence. "Elias, it's me." A pause. Chains rattled. "Nell." His voice was weaker than before. A thread. "You shouldn't be here." "I made allies tonight. Rue and Caleb. They're going to help us." Silence.

Ann admitted. Holly sighed in defeat. "Yeah, I'm nearly done." Ann nodded with a smile. "I want to show you something," Ann said. "Come on." she took Holly's hand and led her towards town. -------- "Isn't that...?" Holly asked hesitantly. They were in the shopping centre, people milling around, some carrying bags. The two girls stood in front of a shop decorated to look like an elves workshop, a big red arrow pointing to the entrance. "Santa's Grotto." Ann stated the obvious.

Worse is definitely not the drama we are looking for. I hear a knock on my door before Nelly graces me with her signature walks. She has such a beautiful walk. I can watch her walk all day. “Hey baby bear.” She pulls a chair and sits down. She's here for gossip. I always entertain her, especially when I'm not busy. “Hi Nels. What did you bring this time?” “Why do you think I always come here with gossip? What do you take me for?” She looks a little offended for the truth. “Anyway, have you received your money yet? Mine is in.” She flashes her phone in front of me.

A girl approached me. She had brown hair and really piercing blue eyes that made me kind of nervous. But then she smiled and her unsettling nature was gone. “Hello,” “You know Hendrix?” “Yeah, we’re decent friends. Do you?” “Yeah, we’re old friends actually. I’m Nelly. I’m in town to surprise him, but I think his parents accidentally gave me the wrong address and now they’re not picking up and they’re out of town. Do you know the right address? I’m hoping to surprise him tonight.”
