Alex slowed down as we approached a massive black gate. I blinked in surprise. The gate was enormous with elegant golden designs decorated beautifully around it. Then suddenly a small scanner flashed near the side. A camera moved slightly toward Alex. Beep. The gate slowly began opening. My mouth fell open immediately. “Oh my God…” Beyond the gates stood the most beautiful house I had ever seen. A massive condo stood proudly in the center surrounded by perfectly trimmed flowers and tall trees. There was a large fountain at the front with crystal-clear water sparkling beautifully under the sunlight.

As soon as I stepped on the wooden porch of the house, my dad rang the doorbell and we waited patiently.

"I say that ALL THEATRES must be shut down! All idle time must be FORBIDDEN! Return to your houses of worship!” It reminded Caitlin of the people who preached from street corners in New York City. In some ways, nothing had changed. They came to another gateway, right in the middle of the street, with a sign that read “Temple Barre, City Gate.” Caitlin was amazed that cities actually had gates. The large, imposing gate was open, for people to pass right through, and Caitlin wondered if they closed it at night. On either side stood more guards.

The wrought-iron gate is intricately designed with swirling patterns, creating an elegant yet imposing entrance to the property. Considering the size of the place and the beautiful drive way, I’ll say this people is filthy rich. As I pull up closer, I notice the driveway is framed by tall, perfectly trimmed hedges, adding to the sense of grandeur and exclusivity. Next to the tall gate I spot a name plate J.J.G, must be the initials of the owner. I kill the engine and slide out of my car, I rush to the gate and dump the package in the middle of the driveway. Just as the gate starts to open.

We slowly moved from the bustling, lively downtown area to a relatively open area. This was not a remote area on the outskirts but the top-rich area in New York City. The roads became wider and cleaner. The spacing between buildings was more sparse. The number of pedestrians and vehicles decreased, while what increased was the large areas of meticulously trimmed greenery. The tall and thick wrought-iron gates at the entrance appeared before my eyes. The advanced detection system quickly scanned and identified the convoy, emitting a clear sound. Then the gate slowly opened to both sides. Although it was already late in the evening, the manor was brightly lit as if it were still daytime.
