The battery on my front door smart lock died, so I called a locksmith to come over. While he was working on the lock, he made small talk. "Dude, this lock comes with six spare keys. Did you lock all of them inside the apartment?" I froze. I've lived in this apartment for three years. My wife and I each have one spare key. The other three were always kept in the hallway drawer. That makes five total. So where's the sixth key?

“We’ll find her for you.” “We have the best people for that,” Denver added. “It won’t take long to find the love of your life.” “End your search, its been six years” Stephen scoffed, shaking his head. “She’s right at your fingertips. Why leave it to fate?” The man stopped, his expression unchanged—clearly unimpressed. “Fuck you,” he said flatly, irritation clear, before taking a seat beside Denver like he belonged there. Cassie and Zandrie watched the exchange unfold, caught off guard. The shift from controlled tension to something almost chaotic left them momentarily speechless.
