The Rogue Healer's Secret

The Rogue Healer's Secret

Alone. > Roland didn't hesitate for a second. He tossed the letter directly into the fireplace, watching the flames consume it. "It begins." Orion nodded. "The Watchers." Roland immediately turned to summon the palace guards. "No one leaves the palace. Not without my direct order." As night fell, Killian and Seraphina prepared to return home. Their horses stood ready outside the hidden village. Before they departed, Freya approached them. "You've already defeated the Watchers' first trap."

Night of shades

Night of shades

But sometimes, terrible things happen and our lives are destroyed forever, our borders shrunk to the size of the pain in our hearts, our horizons dimmed. Because, you see, Charlie’s father—the baron from Chicago who had Saved the Town, the man who would not be thwarted—had set one of his servants to watch the hill, day and night. This servant, he was not the sort of servant that you keep in your house and allow to serve coffee to the neighbors. He wasn’t even the sort that might black your boots or care for the horses in the stable. He was the sort that you pass money to in the shadows, the sort that you only see when the gleam of his eyes and the gleam of his knife shine out of the darkness

Mated to the Night Wolf

Mated to the Night Wolf

Much worse, for on days such as these even Diane delays to come. But today feels different. It is only when it begins to rain that I realize why. I stand right before the large velvet chair that sits in the middle up near the bookshelf, opposite the entrance. This is where I saw him. The Night Wolf. Those eyes. Goosebumps form against my skin. I did not imagine them. Not at all. I rub up my arm and my gaze reaches the one window high above. A dozen windows. Barnabas says there are more than a dozen windows.

Lisa
Well worth the wait! Your 55 chapters are more like 250 chapters of other authors. Your chapters are long, detailed and fully packed with more intrigue. The guard? I’m team Kayos, but it’s so beautiful how tender the guard was with her to let her know he will honor her…but I think there’s more.

This book is so good. I love the writing, the characters, the story and the execution. Perfection at its core but I have a problem, please could you release a chapter at least once a week. It’s not fair because I’m basically hooked on this book and I don’t get regular updates.

A Night With Richard

A Night With Richard

Richard watched his every move and took special interest in the watch around his wrist. "Got that new?" He asked. This jolted the man and he clenched his teeth. He was uneasy. Can this damn man mind his business or worse still, concentrate on making peace with his maker whom he will be joining very soon? He thought as he suppressed his anger and managed to maintain calm. His reaction rang a bell in Richard's heart. "This gem must cost a fortune judging from its quality," Richard added and bent over to take a closer look. Hell! It was a bomb ready for explosion in the few minutes time.

Bound To The Crown Prince

Bound To The Crown Prince

Amber's POV They always made a mistake when they thought I watched from a balcony for the view. I watch because I learn. I watch because I collect the tiny tells...the way a hand tightens around a goblet, the micro-shudder at a whispered name, the way fear folds into pride like a bad marriage. Tonight the courtyard was a slow-broken thing... blood on stone, nobles with white faces, and a wolf that had torn the order of the world in two.

Beyond Night

Beyond Night

“It’s not from within the camp or the village, like a smell that moves in a cloud or a swarm.” “We’ll set up a defensive perimeter, fast,” August explained as he grabbed his gladius. “Have the watchmen spotted anything out there?” Both of them turned their heads and stopped in their actions as a brutal scream cut through the deep night. Rufus looked at his master. “I would venture to guess they have just now discovered something, sir.” Throwing on his helm, August asked, “Have the villagers panicked?” Rufus shrugged. “I haven’t seen any of them out, sir.”

THE SHADOW BRIDE

THE SHADOW BRIDE

Old. I pull Camille Maddox’s journal from under the bed and flip toward the middle. The pages are brittle near the center, and the ink smudges as if the writer’s hand had trembled. “It comes at night now. I wake to footsteps in the hall. Sometimes I see the prints. Wet. Black. They never lead away, only toward my door.” “I told Thomas not to speak its name. We aren’t supposed to. But he said it anyway, in a whisper like a curse. The Watcher.”

A Night-Stand With My New Boss

A Night-Stand With My New Boss

Chapter 3 ~ Valerie's POV ========= As the following day arrived, the glow of the morning shone into my bedroom reflecting on my face and obstructing my sleep. Despite my eyes still laced with tiredness from last night, I looked at my side and found Dante still lying. And then I decided to return to sleep when my eye direction moved to the wall clock close to my bed and suddenly I remembered I was going to work. Instantly, I stood up from my bed, leaving Dante still sleeping soundly on my bed as I rushed into the bathroom so as not to be late for work.

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

(Elisa’s POV) I loved how my life turned out. One minute, I was lying beside the road with a bullet wound from people I thought were my friends, and here I was living a life of crime and loving it. I looked at my watch, realizing how late I was to get to the restaurant, and said, “I have to go. I need to run the books for my bar and restaurant.” I turned to Lorenzo and asked, “Are you coming?” I asked since he had insisted on tagging along.

Nightingale

Nightingale

Her muffled sob echoed throughout the large cabin. She looked outside the glass window that covered one side of the building. It was dark and the sky wasn’t that clear. More tears rushed down her cheeks as her eyes accidentally fell on the clock. It was 11 PM and she didn’t know how she was going to get home. There were definitely people in the hospital as so many people needed care and duty doctors for emergencies but her shift was over hours ago. She wasn’t going to find a bus home as she lived far from her workplace.
