We were ready. The ball would start when daylight faded and twilight emerged. I peered in the mirror my ice blue eyes were alert and ready for trouble my hair ribboned down my back resting at my waist. Tonight would be my last in the pack. Vivian was slipping on cleanly polished boots before double checking her silver moon necklace around her neck. Out of habit I played with my own matching necklace my fingers looping around the intricate chain. Matching. A gift from our mother. “Well let’s do the best job we can and then skedaddle.” Vivian joked running a brush through her hair once more.

All seven of us looked at each other before standing up and rushing outside. There stood a slender woman, her hair styled so perfectly it looked like it couldn’t be moved. She was wearing a tight-fitting dress that emphasized every curve, and I nearly gagged at how high her black heels were.

Nida didn't like to sleep with anyone, even though they fit on the mattress on top of the mat on the floor. The only light in the room came from the moon, which shone through the open window. She sighed again when the familiar sadness gripped her chest. She felt hollow, as if she wanted to embrace someone or something, but she didn't know who or what. She closed her eyes and tried to force herself to sleep. Maybe it was because of the fatigue from doing laundry earlier that she was able to fall asleep quickly. ACROSS THE MEADOW, Clohe slipped on a Jacket she had been given by one of the Snow Valley Pack members. She nibbled on her lower lip when Zeb looked down at her as she examined one of the Nightengale Warriors' hands in hers. A heavenly scent wafted between them and she didn't know where it was coming from. "You haven't been claimed yet, little female?" The Nightengale Warrior she was examining had brazenly asked her. She opened her mouth to give him an answer but was quickly cut off when he spoke again. "It would be an honour if I could be considered as..."

Chris nodded. “Good night” Neil saluted the ladies as he swaggered off to his bedroom. “Let’s call it a night.” Chris too, stood up with Emile and looked towards Abbey. Abbey nodded and everyone headed to their rooms. In the dead of night, Neil walked out of his room to put his plan into action. “Why are you here?” He was surprised to see Night Wing waiting outside his room. “How can I let you have all the fun?” Night Wing sneered and walked forward pretending that he did not see Neil’s displeasure.

He slammed the heavy iron collar around her neck. *Click.* The lock snapped shut. Instantly, the black crystals flared with a blinding green light. That was when she noticed an old red binding book on her bedside table. There was a name on it, (Nightwing.) It also had a golden dragon encrusted just below the name. Catori's breathing came out in a rush at that, all sorts of thoughts running through her mind. Did a Dragon leave it here? She took up the book gingerly and examined it. Electric current raced up her arms, causing her to drop the book. The moment it dropped to the floor, it opened to a page on its own. Catori got down on the floor to inspect on the page. It only illustrated an image of a dragon.
