Entangled with my Ex-husband and His Stepbrother

52: Knoxville's phone rang, shrill in the silence. He picked it up, his deep voice answering, On the other end was Henry, his tone laced with a hint of excitement. "Sir, our private investigator just called. He's found Mr. Jenkins' daughter. She's living in a mud house on the outskirts of the city with her son and the man she's been dating." Knoxville's grip on the phone tightened, his mind racing with the implications. "Get the full details, Henry. We need to be there tonight." The call ended, and Knoxville's thoughts turned to the task at hand.

HUNTED

HUNTED

I was jerked back to the present by a hand tapping lightly on my shoulder. "Stop daydreaming," my father snapped as he stared down at ms. "We're here." I looked out the window to see that a small chapel stood before us. It was elegant and looked private. This was definitely the kind of place where inconvenient marriages quietly took place. The chauffeur opened my door. I stepped out and instantly began to stretch my legs which were stiff from the journey. My father took a step closer to me in order to straighten my tie one last time.

His Secret Princess

His Secret Princess

We arrived in Huntsville just as the sun was beginning to set. Golden light illuminated the desolate street–weeds working up through the concrete, bordered up buildings sloping ever more sideways, and graffiti painted across almost every available surface. Matt parked beside the others, in what was one a parking lot for a grocery store. The windows of the store itself were broken, and the shelves looted. The town had been abandoned for almost thirty years, yet cars still sat against the curbs and the church at the end of the road remained untouched, its stained-glass windows still in place.

I thought the first book was amazing, but I was oh so wrong. This sequel to the first book is simply incredible. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting not so patiently (lol) for the next chapters to follow. I can't wait for Matt and Celeste to finally get together ...️

does anybody know what's going on with this book. I love the book along with the 1st of the 2... this one and the hockey alpha. but this book by the same author is on another book app and it's the same thing with no updates in so long and stops at chapter 171. I really wish for updates.

Antiquarian's Precious Find

Antiquarian's Precious Find

Unlocking the pickup’s cab, he climbed in, turned over the engine, and drove to the trailhead parking a couple miles from his house in his exclusive neighborhood. He knew this trail well even in the thick gloom of night. Countless times it had been the start and end point for his hunts, as he called them, clandestine excursions into other neighborhoods, the outlying campgrounds or even other cities in pursuit of his latest female object. Nick’s feet trudged the familiar path by rote, the faint crunch of his feet accompanied by an animal orchestra of crickets and the random calls of night birds under the starlight.

Chasing fireflies

Chasing fireflies

“She asked for her memories to be erased, Hunter. The pain, the betrayal, it was too much. No idea where they took her, but if I had to guess? Atlanta.” “You saw something?” Hunter asked, leaning in. “I did. Good luck, son. Find her. She needs you.” Atlanta, Georgia Hunter flew back to Atlanta and spent six months searching, coming up empty-handed. One morning, he walked into the living room as Hank stumbled in from the gym, staring at his phone like it held the secrets of the universe. “Hank,” Hunter grabbed his arm. “Hunter, man, I’m in love. I’ve been hitting the gym for her. She’s there sometimes, not every day, but… I took a picture like a total creep,” Hank admitted, grinning.

Programmed the Quaterback Robot to Love

“Hello?” “Hi,” I say, keeping my voice low. “I’m trying to reach someone from the Hunt family. I—I’m looking for information about Noah Hunt.” The silence on the other end stretches before she speaks again, her tone breaking slightly. “Who is this? How do you know that name?” “I just came across it in some old records,” I say, lying through my teeth. “I wanted to know if—” She cuts me off. “Noah went missing eight years ago. We never found him.”

The New Luna

Starting all over again was not easy. They did not spoke after Max’s lashing out. It was almost dark when they arrived at Haven, Alabama. A quaint little town ,basically in the middle of no where. It did not look bad at all but it was a far cry from Manhattan. She even researched Haven while they were traveling. Haven’s population is less than five thousand and it it’s known as Alabama’s primary timber supplier. No caps there because the place indeed is covered by birch, cypress or oak trees that are possibly older than she and Teresa’s age combined.

The Millionaire's Bride

The Millionaire's Bride

If Nathan wasn’t home, he’d just sit in his truck and wait for him. Noah had always felt small when he came here. The size of the place dwarfed anything around it except the mountains. He knew from days past when he would visit Camille that there was a heated pool in the back along with a fire pit, an outdoor grilling area, and a guest house.

I enjoyed each of the sweet stories. However, I am not sure how the characters of Gabe and Celina in story two became Brian and Leah in story three while all the other characters, including their daughter, kept the same names.

The story in the introduction is Chapters 1-24. Then it’s different stories with new characters (Ch 25-55; 56-84; 85-117). Love how the relationships developed between Alexa & Salvatore / Celina & Gabe / Sara & Ian / Camille & Noah. Love how God, prayer, and faith were emphasized in each story.

Nicklaus frowned and quickly asked, "Where are you now?" "I'm at Pretty Lady house. We can't find her and she's missing. She didn't bring her mobile phone with her, she's gone" Noah said with his mouth drooping. He was at the verge of crying. He sniffed and said "Dad, she won't leave us right?" ..... ...... A Contract Marriage With My Boss

A Contract Marriage With My Boss

"Ahhh! Boy God, I can I can!" "These abs, I really don't know which sister will be cheaper in the future." "Your screams are so loud that it woke up Rodney who is sleeping next to me." "Upstairs, draw your swords." The internet was in harmony, Rodney was top streaming right now, whatever he posted would be on the news in minutes. He was practically fighting for his next concert. The day before the concert, Nina arrived in Hustleburg. First she reported to the Harrington's house, then she made a trip to Pines Ridge and bought gifts for some of the kids.
