What inspired you to write One Promise? You see, when I was young, life was tough. I grew up with a broken family. I never felt the love I wanted all my life. I've always love reading. That's when I found my new comfort through writing. Then I held on to it because it gave me hope. It gave me another way to ease my broken self cause I needed to. Just when I thought I already hit rock bottom with all these pain I felt ever since I was a kid, God must've still felt the need to push me more by leaving me with a monstrous dad but I saw how God changes him. So I wrote this story for my dad.

“So, you really think I did what Fiona accused me of? I know it sounds bad, and it’s almost believable, but I’d never get into Fiona’s bed. If you could just slow down a minute, I’ll explain,” Jordan said. “Let’s assume Fiona is wrong. Where are you coming from right now? It just proves her allegations against you. As you can see, I’m busy. Please leave! I’d like to change my clothes,” I said firmly. His expression changed. “Ella, you’re kidding, right? I’ve literally seen all of you. In fact, I might have seen your guts when I’m between your legs,” he chuckled softly. “My point is, I love you, and I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. So, please sit, and let’s talk,” Jordan said, walking toward me, grabbing the bag I had packed, and shoved it aside.
