The Oracle Paths Novels & Stories

“Daughter of Flame. Son of Ruin.” The Oracle waited at the heart of the temple. Her presence was ageless, her white eyes bottomless. “You seek answers,” she intoned. “And healing,” Elara said. “There is always a price.” Oracle whispered. “What price?” Lerder demanded. “The bond you share must be tested. Only through fire will truth be revealed.” A blinding flash consumed them. When the light receded, they were apart. Elara stood alone in a valley of flames. Lerder faced endless mirrors of ice.

I had been an oracle since birth. Whatever I said would come true. When I first started to speak, I said that my father was going to be rich. That night, my father won a lottery that was worth a hundred million dollars. When I was six, I said the village chief’s grandson would return home safely. The next day, someone found him covered in dirt at the village entrance. When I was eighteen, I commented online that Harrison Corporation, which was almost going bankrupt, would bounce back. As expected, two weeks later, their share prices reached a new height. Hence, Brown Corporation invited me as a respectable guest due to my accurate predictions. However, I had just barely stepped thr

Amelia sat mesmerized as Elara spoke, her words weaving a tapestry of ancient prophecies and forgotten lore. The Oracle, a lineage of powerful women who held the key to the fate of the Lycan Kingdom, a lineage that stretched back centuries, was now her legacy. Elara explained that the Oracle's power was not just about seeing the future, but about shaping it. It was a force that could heal, protect, and even manipulate the very fabric of reality. But with such power came great responsibility, and a constant threat from those who would seek to control it for their own selfish ends.

I could even see movement lurking between the cursed trees from this distance. My senses became overwhelming, I heard warriors breathing. The shifting claws of wolves, the pounding of hearts and beneath all of it… Faintly… Eli. The Oracle lowered her hands gracefully. “The blessing grants heightened sight, speed, strength and senses,” she explained. “But only until sunrise.” Drew stared down at his hands in disbelief. “I can hear everything…” One warrior nearby whispered shakily, “I can smell the Deadwood from here…” The Oracle looked directly at me again. “Use the night wisely, Alpha Blackthorne.” Her silver eyes darkened slightly. “Because dawn may decide the fate of your world.”

The vision ended, and Elara stumbled back, gasping. “I saw her,” she whispered. “My mother.” The Oracle nodded. “She left you a path. Hidden in blood. Sealed in fire. And guarded by the one you trust least.” Her eyes drifted to Kael. Elara’s gaze snapped to his. “What is she talking about?” she asked, voice sharp. Kael didn’t flinch. “I don’t know.” But the Oracle was smiling again. “Oh, he does. He just doesn’t know how much he knows yet.”

Japana's office where she knocks and we hear a faint masculine 'come in' and she ask me to go in "Mr. Japana instructs that I usher you in immediately you arrive" she says as I hesitate to go in. "Good morning Sir, I am....." I pause as he lifts his eyes to mine, all my senses seemed to freeze the moment my eyes meets Mr. Hercules. Realization dawns on me that the handsome Hercules was none other than Mr. Japana. After a fierce staring trance, I immediately compose myself and call out to a non responsive Mr. Japana "Sir, I'm Dahlia the new Junior developer" I say bringing Mr. Japana back to why I was standing at the door of his office.

I am in another world, but the fact that I have no friends here too makes me feel inferior, wishing that I could meet someone with whom I can share stories and waves of laughter in this kind of place. I stopped on my track as soon as I remembered that I should go to the Headmistress’ office for the orientation. Professor McLaren and Dr. Foster cannot accompany me due to prior commitments. So, they instructed me to walk straight ahead and look for an old structure. But how can I find it if the buildings in this place were all designed anciently? I pulled the book that Dr. Foster had given me from my bag. I tried to search for a map and smiled when I found it. My smile faded and was replaced b

One by one, they drink, binding themselves to their new pack, their new family, their new future. As Naomi takes the final sip, a collective gasp echoes through the newly formed pack. They turn to each other, eyes wide, shoulders bared— Their pack marks have changed. A crescent moon rising over a tree-lined horizon. The Oracle’s Oath As the howls and cheers fade, I turn to Michael. Dipping my fingers into a fingerbowl of balsam oil, flecked with selenite, I begin the Oracle’s anointing. “Michael Thorne, you have been created by the Goddess to be her mouthpiece on Earth.

“Best we do it at your own pace and in a comfortable place, than under her watchful gaze.” Kendra didn’t really know what to say, and from the way Killian shuffled uncomfortably, he felt the same way too. “You two need to make up your minds, and fast… because if you’re able to turn him back, Kendra, it wouldn’t last for long,” The Oracle warned, her eyes a gleaming white, “This is but only a quick fix. Alright, I’ll leave you two to it. Stand in that circle when you’re ready,” She gestured towards a complicated looking circle drawn in limestone and white clay and headed out after that, leaving the two of them all alone.

“Clearly there is an explanation for all of this and rest assured everyone in this room will be informed, but not by me as it’s not my information to tell…..Idris would you care to say a few words….the king nods at Idris handing him the floor, more murmurs in the crowds as no one seems to know who Idris is? “Greetings everyone, my name is Idris. It is true, I am the final Phoenix that has survived. I am sorry I have stayed hidden from you all for so long however I needed to keep myself safe, as well as I have been working night and day to try and preserve and fix everything around you. I had been informed by our king that there was someone willing to be turned, as the last of my kind, I hap
