"Are you pointing out the obvious, or are you just curious?"
Seth chuckled softly, lifting a hand in surrender. "You've got me there."
Orion didn't smile. Instead, he leaned back, eyes stormy. "The patrol team should have been back by now. There's still no sign of them."
Seth straightened instantly, his brow creasing. "Yes. I thought to wait another hour before sending scouts out in search of them, but—"
"But waiting does nothing." Orion's empty glass hit the table with a heavy thud. He rose to his feet, decision already carved into his stance. "I'll go.
