Her Other Life

Her Other Life

"I've signed the papers, and I don't need the house. All I need is for you to disappear from my sight and never show up in my world again." That house was covered in the filthy marks of this woman and her disgusting lover. I wasn't going to live in that den of debauchery. But since that day onward, she never left my side. No matter where I went, she insisted on coming along, as if she was afraid I would leave if she blinked. "Give me a second chance, Gabriel. I swear I'll never hurt you again. Yes, marriage did bore me, but I never wanted to cut it off with you."

THE DON'S DISCARDED BRIDE

THE DON'S DISCARDED BRIDE

She looked up. A woman she had never seen before. Older. Maybe seventy. White hair cut close. The posture of a woman who had once been someone significant and had never quite stopped, the particular uprightness of a person who carries themselves as if the space they occupy has always been theirs by right. She had a book in her own lap. She looked at Sophia for a moment, then looked down at it. The library was quiet. "You are running out of time," the woman said. Quietly. Without looking up. "He has decided to stay."

The Woman He Never Chose

The Woman He Never Chose

Before everything, before Emilia, she was the only woman I saw myself getting married to. Bianca was a beautiful woman. She was well established as an influential woman, and her forward attitude was one of the things that drew me to her. It intrigued me how she never backed down when she wanted something. Back then, I thought she was the only woman fit to rule beside me until she decided power was more important.

Vashti's Daughter

Vashti's Daughter

“Yes, that is true. Now, come with me and I’ll show you where this book will be placed so you can refer to it as needed. You will use it to teach the women what is written in these pages, and the men as well, and begin a new nation of equality for our sex so that no other woman will have to make the choices, or be forced to make choices that are not of her own mind. For your children, and their children and their children.” Anna watched Vashti place the book into a box and then under the loose floorboards near the front door. She found a comfortable spot on the couch and curled up to sleep. She hoped that first light Vashti mentioned would come through her top floor balcony window in Santa M

The Slave Owner

The Slave Owner

A girl asked behind Imogen. "I was just looking around" She answered. "Alright, take your time, miss" The girl smiled and left. Imogen wandered around the bookstore, looking at every shelf for a book to read until her eyes found one. "Longing For A Woman" She called out and reached for it, but a voice stopped her and took it before she could. "Longing For A Woman, written by Emma stones, is a story that tells the tale of two women falling in love and parting," A man said while Imogen moves back, a bit uncomfortable.

Vickie: Dr. by day. Werewolf hunger by night (Book 2)

Vickie: Dr. by day. Werewolf hunger by night (Book 2)

Was someone trying to tell me something? I picked up the opened book and studied the page. It was written by a woman in Australia who claimed to have been in contact with a pack of werewolves who’d allowed her to study them. I remembered how a good deal of it had sounded so farfetched that I’d closed the book with disdain. Now, after having dealt with and dissected one of those vile creatures, I re-read the pages with more interest and a far more opened mind. After leaning against my desk and reading a few more pages, I decided to pick up the rest of the mess that was caused by Max and my little sex tryst and then take the book upstairs with me. I was craving a sandwich and a glass of wi

"Been there, done that." But then, why was I still staring at the section with such interest? Maybe because I haven't been horizontal in a while or was it the thought that I won't be for a long while to come? Whatever the reason, I was still staring transfixed at the cover of the closest book in my line of sight. A picture of the curve of a woman's back in a red hue titled The Devil's my New Teacher by Ms. OG. I picked up the book and added it to the pile in my hand. Oh well.

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!

The Other Woman

as his body didn't stiffen under her touch the way it did with mine. Instead, he let out a slow breath, his eyes closing briefly as if she was the only thing in the world that could calm him. I had decorated the room with love. Cooked with love. Dressed with love. For my husband. But in the end, only she could soothe him. Only The Other Woman could give him the comfort... ***

The Other Woman

Ryan did not confirm nor deny it, but I could tell the truth from the guilty look in his eyes. The scorching summer day in June felt like winter to me. I held my breath in shock. What was I to Ryan, if that woman was his wife? "Stop faking it," the woman taunted me. Then, she went on to introduce me to the onlookers. "Ladies and gentlemen, take a good look at this homewrecker! She snatched my husband from me, and she had the audacity to ask him for an apartment."

The Other Son

"You ungrateful brat! Are you trying to stall until your brother dies? If anything happens to him, I'll kill you first!" The edge of the container cut my forehead. Blood ran down the side of my face as I clutched my head, begging her to stop. And yet, the same woman who would panic if Dylan so much as choked on water didn't even glance at my injury. She stared at the blood-stained sample and let out a twisted smile. "I'll count to five. If you still refuse, I'll open it and mix your blood with everything inside. Let's see how you explain that!"
