Elle wiped the wax away with a hand as steady as stone. Rounding the bend, Elaine stopped in her tracks. In the center of the room was a woman with eyes the color of ash. She glanced their way for a moment, but then resumed to her book. The volume she was reading was massive, maybe as large as Elaine. It was leather-bound and intricately sewn. The book rested atop a cherry wood table that towered in the old library. The woman stood behind the podium; her old, but unworked hands, smoothing out the precious pages.

A woman approached Jacob who was reading a book, the woman continued to watch from a distance until she approached Jacob in his chair. "Excuse me." Jacob immediately looked up at the beautiful woman in front of him. The woman smiled and said, "I see you're so focused on reading the book that you didn't notice the book was upside down." Jacob felt embarrassed and immediately turned his book upside down. He did not notice because he saw this woman. "I usually read like this," Jacob replied, shaking off his embarrassment. The woman laughed and sat down in front of Jacob. Jacob was stunned to be mesmerized by the beauty of the woman he had always liked. He never thought she would come to him.

She huffs at us, rolling her eyes before pinning us with a firm stare. "Women write these books. You want to learn how to sweep a woman off her feet? There's your manual." She says, motioning towards the book in my lap. I look at the novel with a newfound respect before looking around the room. "Seriously?" I ask and the women all nod. "Oh yeah. I'd love for my husband to read some of these books. Maybe we could spice things up a little." A woman says and many others nod their heads in agreement. "Oh hell yes. Maybe get him to growl and call you a good girl." Another says with a giggle. My eyebrows shoot up in surprise and the younger girl looks at us with amusement.

I think all women have dark secrets that they are trying hard to keep buried within the four corners of their minds. Am I right?" Briana rolled her eyes. "And does the book satisfy your craving for juicy stuff and endless drama?" Alvin looked at her, wearing a surprised expression on his face. "How did you know that I like juicy stuff?"
