Substitute For The Devil's Bride: One-night Stand

Substitute For The Devil's Bride: One-night Stand

This is enough for two offices! Her gaze swept across the space in awe. Glass-paneled staircases curved elegantly toward an austere desk that looked untouched by clutter. A massive screen dominated one wall...clearly meant for virtual meetings...while shelves upon shelves of books lined the room with military precision. She had been inside her father’s study countless times, but Lucian’s library didn’t just whisper wealth...it screamed it. “Lucian… can I touch that?” Layla asked softly, pointing toward a bookshelf after spotting her favorite business law book.

Rejected By The Beta, Claimed By The Alpha King

Rejected By The Beta, Claimed By The Alpha King

The scent of aged paper and leather bindings filled the air, and afternoon sunlight streamed through tall windows, illuminating reading nooks tucked between the stacks. Lily gasped beside me, her face lighting up with wonder. "Gods, Amelia," she breathed, taking a hesitant step inside. "I've never seen so many books in my life." "I know," I said, grinning at her reaction. "I spent all morning here. The librarian nearly had a heart attack when I asked for legal texts instead of something more 'suitable for a queen'… whatever that means." I tugged her back into the corridor with reluctance. "We can come back tomorrow. You can read anything you want, for as long as you want."

THE HUMAN LUNA

THE HUMAN LUNA

So I watched the people. One evening, I intentionally returned a book much later than necessary. The librarian smiled warmly as she accepted it. "You've been reading quite a lot, Luna." "I'm trying to understand the dynasty." She laughed softly. "Books help." "They do." I smiled back "But conversations help more." she said, again I tilted my head. "What kind of conversations?" "The ones people don't realize they're having." I smiled. "I'll remember that." She smiled back. We spoke for another fifteen minutes. About nothing important. Or so it appeared.

Ruby Fridays

Ruby Fridays

She glanced up at me over her half-moon spectacles as I placed the stack of books down with a heavy thud. She ran her gnarled fingers over the worn covers, muttering to herself as she examined each book. She then glared at me with amused curiosity and warily from behind her spectacles as I approached the front desk, "Do you have plans of reading all the books in here, Ms. Fridays?" she asked, a hint of suspicion in her tone. Her question hung in the air as I considered my answer carefully. The truth was far more complex than the simple joy of reading. These books held secrets, knowledge that others wished to keep hidden. And I sought to uncover those mysteries, even if it meant arousing the

...... Never read a book well written like this before. Full of emotions, and surprises. The cliffhangers are just............ I don't know what to say aside from the fact that it's soooooo good! I'm happy I had seen this in the most popular stories section. Hope it will be on the front page next......

From my Bully to CEO

From my Bully to CEO

A portal into a world I’d only ever read about in books. Now, I found excuses and gaps in my timetable to sneak in here. The only place where the whispers and the glares stopped, where I could just shut my brain off in peace. “Hale!” The librarian’s voice made me jolt. “You need to leave.” She was an older lady with greying hair and large spectacles that magnified her hawk like eyes. She reminded me of the librarian from Monsters University. “Yes,” I said quickly, scooping the thick history textbook in my arms. “I’m leaving. Just putting this back.”

My Personal Lycan King (Book-2)

My Personal Lycan King (Book-2)

The End. Hello, dear readers, this chapter marks the end of the My Personal Lycan King series. I know I made a lot of mistakes and there were lots of grammatical mistakes, and I am sorry for all of them. I am not a native English speaker, but I am always trying to improve myself. If you loved this story even for a few minutes, then please leave a comment and review the story. This was my first story, and I was a bit uneven in updating patterns too, please forgive me for that. Once again, thank you all for continuing this journey along with me. It was the support from readers like you that made this book work, and I hope I will be getting some love in the future too. There were many comments

This was definitely a complicated storyline, but the Author brought the Characters and storyline perfectly together and ended it beautifully. The Rollercoaster ride of everything, twist and turns of events and the surprises ... I LOVED it!... it kept me wanting to read all through the night.

This is an excellent story! It’s worth the coins! The story lines from book one to two are consistent and thought provoking. The author states English is not her first language, so please be kind as this story is worth it and you can easily figure out the occasional slip. Fabulous!

“This is a library, Arian.” “I know but…” I started but he cut in. “I’ve been coming to this library for months. It's quiet and it's a good place to work.” I blinked. “You’ve been coming here to work?” Kael leaned against the shelf, crossing his arms. “Since you work in the library you should know by now that it's not good to judge the book by its cover.” “Have you met you? You will also judge the book if you were in my shoes.”

Mistaken Surrogate for the Lycan Prince

Mistaken Surrogate for the Lycan Prince

“Wait. Look at this.” He was holding up a slim journal, its pages yellowed and curled around the edges. The cover was unmarked, but inside, the first page read: “Personal Observations of Leopold Ashford, Royal Librarian.” “A librarian’s journal?” I moved closer. “Where did you find that?” “It was hidden in the back of one of the shelves. Seems like the old guy kept it stashed here and died without anyone ever finding it.” Zane flipped through the pages carefully. “He seemed to record everything—new acquisitions, palace gossip, daily observations…”

Tears' Curse

Tears' Curse

If someone wanted something from the other side, they would need to walk all the way to the end. Miracle scanned the list of book references hung at the information counter. History, history, history—her eyes lingered on the titles. And they soon fell on the librarian as he stopped tapping the keyboard, responding to her presence. "Yes? How may I help you?" he offered his assistance. "Oh, hey." Staring at his black lanyard, she looked for his name. "Thomas? May I know where can I get history books?" "History?" His elbow slipped, knocking the plastic mug off the table and onto the floor. "Oh shit!"

Poison me softly

Poison me softly

Terrible choice for the family and community. I laugh awkwardly. “I also like romance.” “Which romance novels?” I completely blank. Because I don’t remember the last time I read romance, and my love life was now so catastrophically messy. “A few books. Can’t remember the titles.” What kind of librarian wouldn’t remember the title of books they liked? The interviewer stares at me for a long second. Then politely says, “Do you have any shelving experience?” “No.” “Cataloging?” “No.” “Customer service?”
