He typed a reply. “Continue watching.” — Back at the penthouse. Aurora had finished eating the small breakfast Adrian prepared. The apartment felt quiet again. But the quiet felt different now. More tense. Aurora walked toward the large window in the living room. The city stretched endlessly below. Adrian was standing nearby reviewing emails on his phone. Aurora suddenly spoke. “Adrian.” He looked up. “Yes?” Aurora hesitated. “Do you regret it?” “Regret what?”

Henry shouted, "No! Yelena, I will never divorce you! And the child—why did you never tell me about it?" His voice trembled as he spoke. He was probably regretting it, but what was the use of regret? We could never go back. No matter how hard he tried, it was over. "I will never agree to a divorce!" Henry insisted. "Don't joke with me. This isn't funny at all." So, he thought I was joking.

My silence must have sounded like confirmation because Rean let out a weary sigh. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I never should've arranged your marriage to Dylan. The two of you didn't even know each other back then. It must have been hard on you all these years." Did my father finally realize how unfairly I'd been treated? Had he known all along that his own daughter had been miserable in this marriage? A bitter scoff escaped me before I could stop it. I never expected to hear those words from him. It was stupid of me to yell since I willingly made that sacrifice and I don’t regret it. “I shouldn’t have yelled. I’m sorry.” I told her and then I turned my gaze to look between Cayden and Daniel. “It’s just that I’m a little stressed out by this new change. But it doesn’t mean for a second that I regret making this sacrifice for the Reigns. I’m just… stressed.” I said gently, and a brief silence followed until Daniel broke it. “We totally understand you, My Queen. There’s absolutely no need to apologize.” Daniel said gently and Cayden smiled warmly at me, communicating to me that everything was okay. They wanted me to express myself.

“Your new home is blessed. By the power vested on me, I declare you both husband and wife.” This was where the whole trouble began. Before the pastor could finish his proclamations, Luke walked out of the hall. All eyes turned to me as everyone tried to contain the shock. The pastor's mouth hung in confusion. He turned his gaze on me. “What seems to be his problem? Did you both have a fight before coming here?” “I’m so sorry about this. I will fix it, I promise.” I ran after him, managing to lift my heavy gown above my feet.

When I heard the grievous news, I had to ensure that the best was given to the victims." "Especially when the ones involved have made valuable contributions to the economic growth of South City. I'm glad that my efforts were not in vain." June's heart was filled with gratitude. "Thank you, sir. Words fail to quantify how much this means to me. I am sorry for your loss." The president waived it off, "Don't feel so bad, my wife died a long time ago. I hope that your partner wakes up too. Your life is a miracle." June nodded and they continued eating. It looked more like Richard was ignoring him. Shortly after Adrian sat down, the president stood up, looking defeated. “Gallagher, let’s talk this through over a meal once you're done grieving.” Then he walked out of the room. As the door closed shut, Richard finally stood up from his chair and walked down to the sitting area, sitting on the sofa in front of his desk. “What took you so long? I had to listen to that senile man lie through his teeth.” Adrian chuckled dryly, “Is this about the Presidential Pardon?”

Master Sean raised his hand. “Well Mr. President, we will handle it,” I spoke in his behalf. “But still, we are very sorry,” he added. A gun was suddenly pointed at the President. I was hearing the word ‘sorry’ too much it was hurting my ears. Master Sean disliked that very much. For him, that word was degrading and a measly payment people give for their mistakes. He could never accept a sorry. “Master Sean doesn't want to hear that word,” Master Sean's finest staff lowered his gun.

We had to be in a simulation or a dream because this did not feel real. “I’m sorry,” he repeated it again causing my entire body to feel a certain way. I did not know what to do anymore. He had never apologized to me before even while we were married. What sort of sick joke was this? I could tell it had not been easy for him to do that but he had done it anyway. Why was he even apologizing? He was the president, he could easily get any other person he wanted. Was he losing it or what? Had my influence gotten deep into him? A lot was going on right now that I wasn’t getting.
