The Primal Hunter 9 Audiobook Novels & Stories

Akihiko was shocked on seeing the kid speak that way to the man in front of him and he says- “Kids aren’t supposed to talk to elders that way! Shame on you! And what kind of parent are you, letting your child talk like that?” They both start laughing on hearing him say that and the man says- “He isn’t my kid… He’s just a brat who works with me.” “Even though I look like this, in reality I am 25 years old. I’m just letting you know. “Oh, right. Before all of that, I had to introduce ourselves. We both are part of the Hunter community and we specialize in hunting creatures from stories.”

“It's not easy for her to communicate using the phone when she’s not alone most of the time I assume! So we'll wait and see. On the bright side, we secured the medicine.” Hunter strode over, looking visibly pissed, “Good morning, Elina. Bethany, you might want to ask your father to keep the noise down next time he entertains. We are guests in this packhouse, after all.” Bethany’s face flushed red, “I’m so sorry, Hunter. But our rooms are soundproof, so..” He interrupted her with a dark glare, “I’m an Alpha, Bethany. My hearing is on a completely different level than yours. He wasn't exactly being delicate last night... Sorry, ignore me. I'm just exhausted and dead of my feet. Never mind.”

The dark out here is full of us, the hunter and me and whatever's left of the stupid thing we were doing in this ditch ninety seconds ago. I stop breathing. So does Noah. First smart thing he's done since he reached for that crossbow and mistook it for a solution to this problem. And I get it. Of course I fucking get it, because every cell I've got is screaming the same thing his are. I’m an apex Alpha, twenty years old, built to run at the thing in the dark, not lie in a ditch and let it walk past. The need to move is an actual live animal in my chest and I'm sitting on its head with a hunter's pulse hammering into my arm, trying to convince all three of us to keep playing dead.

He is standing with his back turned against me, his eyes trained on the other person. I focus on him instead. He looks stunned, his eyes widened, and his lips parted. “That is impossible,” he mutters, shaking his head. “That veil hasn’t been breached in years. Who could have…” “Only one breed,” he drawls. “Hunters.” “Shit!” I didn’t think they were going to figure it out so fast. My breath hitches in my throat when he angles his head a fraction, when everything suddenly stops, as if he can sense me.

Chapter 8 A beautiful girl came over to Hunter who was sitting at the bar table. Hunter just smiled imagining what was happening to her at that time before removing the smile on his face and letting Emily sit next to him. “Hi, Audrey said you wanted to see me, what's wrong?” Emily said. “You don't look like Omega, is it because you've been friends with Audrey for too long? You're more suited to being a Beta,” Hunter said. "Did you just want to say that?" Emily said.

He unlocked the gun case and gestured inside. “Pick. Ladies first, gentlemen.” A shiver ran down my spine as his husky voice washed over me. I grabbed a rifle, not even caring which one it was in my hurry to get away from the tantalizing scent the man wore. I deposited my bag inside of the gun safe and walked out of the hall. I was determined to put as much distance between me and them as I could. We normally hunted in groups, but my father had taught me well enough that I could take down a deer by myself. Getting it back to town, on the other hand, would require the men. Fuck.

There was only the weight of my hands and the heat of the fire. The first true test of our return was the Primal Hunt. We didn't use scouts or sensors to track the elk herds through the valley. Killian shifted into his massive, slate grey form, his silver eyes flashing with a predatory joy that I hadn't seen since the first year of our union. I shifted beside him, my White Wolf form feeling heavy and powerful as I dug my claws into the rich, dark soil of the mountain.

I would remember that. By the time I shoved into the library, my pulse was still uneven. I strode straight into the hidden room, past the shelves that reeked of dust and age. The Core Fang rested where it always had, thrumming faintly like it resented being ignored. I didn’t linger. My hand found the thick book of Primus records and the torn sheet I had once stolen from the Book of Ashes. The same sheet I had used in performing the ritual that might be what is shifting Aqua.

Through the break stepped a figure that made every instinct scream "run." It looked human at first glance. Male, tall, dressed in armor that seemed to be made of compressed starlight. But its eyes... its eyes were voids. Empty spaces in reality that hurt to perceive. "Phoenix," it said, voice like grinding stone. "Storm. Merged." It tilted its head, studying us with those terrible non-eyes. "Impossible. Forbidden. The mixing of primordial forces." "Who are you?" Derek demanded, pulling me behind him. "I am Hunter Prime. First of the First. Keeper of the Old Laws." It took a step forward, and reality rippled around it. "You have committed the ultimate violation. Phoenix and Storm were never m

‘I am weak, but I can try,’ she says and I nod. I walked up to the arena and jumped inside the ring, making the entire crowd gasp and roar in anger but I didn’t care. I shifted into my beautiful, big white wolf. Her fur shone brightly just like the moonlight in a cold, dark night. Right now, Hunter is in the darkness. And I want to be the light that guides him out of it. He needs me, and I’m going to bring him back. HUNTER’s POV Darkness. Cold, bottomless darkness. I couldn’t remember how I got here or why, but I remember that I was fighting my father… or should I even call him that?
