I pass him a black shirt which he pulls on. There’s something about watching the fabric slide over the muscles of his abdomen that makes my stomach flutter. I need to get control of myself. Another man was standing there watering the flowers. She quickly ran out to go find him, but before she could open the door, she remembered she had never stepped out of the room since she got married. What a waste, she sat down thinking of the mysterious man. She stood back slowly, looked at the garden hopping to meet her eyes with the man, but it was the other Gardner, she gazed at him asking him where the man went with signs, she was being careful no one to notice her, the gardener with a lot of respect he bowed down his head, it was a sin to look direct to the eyes of the queen or the king

Her reckless steps caught the attention of the people in the palace. Perhaps because her mind was in a state of confusion, Fuschia didn't walk toward her residence, but instead to Rosemary Garden. A rose garden that dates back to the founding of the Drachentia Kingdom. Even its name was taken from the name of the first Queen of the Kingdom. Incidentally, Fuschia and Hayden have visited this garden quite often to walk together since childhood. And it looks like that habit carried over even after Fuschia returned from the past. 'Shit! Have I been too domesticated by Hayden?!'

I’d committed her scent to memory in just three days so I traced her to the garden of the main palace. She froze once I entered with Cedric as if she too could scent me. She pretended not to notice us as we entered the garden but I watched her like a hawk, as did Cedric. “Hello,” I called, forcing her to look at us. “Nice weather, eh?” “I greet Your Majesty the Luna Queen.” She gave a bow, raising her head before I said anything. “I was about to leave the garden so if you will excuse me –“ Cedric blocked her before she finished speaking.

“Do you know what that is?” She shook her head. She’d heard of it in passing by Basil as a place she would never be worthy enough to go. “It’s the innermost section of the royal garden.” Adolph said, “Very few have ever been inside, and it’s kept by only the Imperial Gardener.” “Why?” Laurel asked as he pulled a key from his pocket. “It’s also called the Heart of the Kingdom.” He unlocked the gate and opened it. Laurel gasped as he led her inside. No roses grew there. In their place, white lunar flowers with almost silver petals and lush red azaleas decorated the area. The pond was clear and connected to a river that flowed into the distance.

Then, the hedges come into view, and they are also immaculate. “You should see the garden in the back of the castle. There’s a labyrinth, several fountains, and all kinds of beautiful flowers, especially roses. The queen loves—loved—roses.” He clears his throat, and I can’t tell if it’s sorrow at having mentioned the late queen that makes him do so or something else. “I’d love to see that,” I tell him as we pull up in front of a huge building made of the same white marble that the gate supports were made from.

Zoriana said, ready to bid her goodnight, but the Queen smiled. “I hope you aren’t too tired. There is one place you must see: the indoor gardens. The collection is my pride and joy.” Zoriana followed her, drawn by the Queen’s persistence. Inside, the garden was enchanted, glowing in the dim light. They moved deeper into the foliage until a loud moan broke the silence. Zoriana’s gaze followed the sound. Her knees buckled, and the Queen quickly grabbed her arm, offering a steadying hand.

Today though, it was oddly quite. Following the path to the garden, I was proud of myself for knowing which hall goes to where. When I reached the door leading out to Barlion Garden, I had expected to see people going here and there but instead, I found Queen Sity standing in front of the statue of the woman, looking up at her as she spoke. Her voice was very weak, preventing me from actually listening to the words she was saying to the woman but one thing was for sure, she too knew who this woman was.

The queen nodded her head in agreement, "You're probably right. Come, let's walk around the garden." Catherine followed the queen back inside the room and walked along side her until they came to stand in front of a window overlooking the gardens below them. She turned to look at the queen and asked, "Is there anything else you want to tell me about what happened last night?" The queen shook her head.

He knew she was brave; she had healed him when he was a dragon for the gods' sake, but there was still a strong urge to keep anything bad from happening to this woman. "Would you like to see the gardens here? They are more decorative than anything. Our actual gardens, with the herbs and vegetables, are farther down the estate. The Queen said they were unsightly, so they had to be moved from view," he asked, a slight hint of annoyance in his voice. "Even though it has grown dark?" she said, wanting very badly to see the gardens. He nodded.
